Joystiq, this Kyle Orland character is seriously not on the level needed to write for you.
I can understand one bad post from time to time but he's just bad. Just read the comments on his posts. Bad.
Sack him, I say. Or let him water down the quality of your site.
Kyle Orland, the non gamer writing for Joystiq. I liked your X06 live blog. Very different from what other people, including the readers, thought of it.
Also, I've heard nothing but praise for Crackdown, including the visuals. From writers that have played the game.
I have a feeling somebody will be pulling money from Sony's wallet fist over hand once all the manufacturers are through with their recalls.
Sony has notoriously bad quality control but this time they've tainted the image of the whole damn laptop market, affecting people's flights etc.
I think they should pay for this big time. Perhaps then they'll start making hardware that last over 2 years (my ps2, tv and every other sony purchase in the last 10 years)
Who the hell are these idiots Joystiq has been hiring of late? This guy and the wanker that did the X06 live blogging?
They're losing your credibility.
Is that an xbox live shortcut button I see at the bottom corner of the controller?
Online with my friends, ooh yeah.
I think it's sad the state joystiq has fallen. Sensationalist crap.
If you make remarks, make sure you havet the facts straight.
Every other "where's the gameplay" "it's cellshaded!" comment was uninformed as if coming from some n00b.
Joystiq, what is this guy doing writing for a GAMING blog is he doesn't knwo a damn thing about games?
Did he just read the sony zzz fest of a liveblog and thought the general way to do it is pretend to be bored even if you're hit with exclusivity news right and left?
Have you actually ever used S60/symbian?
There is a reason these are called multimedia computers. You just have to experience it to believe it. You can install programs, move the shortcuts around, create your own folders and place apps there, perhaps create a folder for your ebooks, install an ebook reader for it for free...

You just have to experience Nokia's interface to understand how far behind Motorola and Samsung are.
On my Samsung I have the basic icons in the menu. I can send messages and make calls and take pictures. That's it. It's so restricted.

There are literally tens of thousands of free programs for the S60 OS, from games to cooksbooks to ebook readers to file management programs.

Sure, razr is thin but that's becasue it packs 3 year old hardware.
Gray scale screen? What is this, early nineties? Those crappy green/gray/brown screens used to be okay in portables. These days we have white leds and white screens.
Or color ereaders like the panasonic one announced yesterday.
I hate brown screens.

OSX is not safer than Windows, it's even less secure. The only saving factor is the minimal number of users (5%). That is the stance of some security experts.
All those people praising Sony's masterly strike of genious:
Sony dropped the price in japan AFTER xbox360 was lowered to $250 with two games.
They had to keep up with the competiton. They didn'y suddenly start to listen to the fans. It's Sony, after all.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
