Very well written and I agree for the most part.

WIFI. I would suggest that since WiFi is not universal and it truly eats the battery, that with high speed carrier provided service, that it is not necessary. I used to think it was, but after killing my battery half way through the day and not having a spare (shame on me), I stopped using it and never looked back.

CONNECTORS. I would kill the proprietary connector no matter how much people complain about current investments in cables. Use MiniUSB and call it a day so that you only have to carry one cable (for us that travel a lot). It charges my Bluetooth headset, syncs my devices, etc. No excuse for proprietary connectors these days.

DISPLAY. Agree, needs to be bigger/higher resolution. Add multi-touch. No reason I should be able to scroll through an application (e.g. Web browser) with my finger (instead of my finger nail on a scroll bar).

KEYBOARD. Leave it alone, it's needed and perfect as it is.

OS. Still need to support WM6. But I would lean on Microsoft to get the heads out of the sand and truly compete with the usability and sexiness of the iPhone. No excuse for Microsoft to be so far behind Apple - they have the money to do anything they want - not sure why 2nd or 3rd best is acceptable to them - curious to me. Messing with other variants just makes it harder for Palm and coming up with a new Linux based OS will be a distraction and most likely torpedo support for ActiveSync and all the things that make the Treo 750 a viable business device.

APPLICATIONS. I like the few extra features that Palm added to the base OS offered by Microsoft. They make the WM platform much less frustrating. But like someone else mentioned, a new browser like the capabilities of the iPhone browser - again - force Microsoft to deliver better stuff.

MEMORY SLOT. Support MicroSDHC which will save space and add capacity.

STOP WASTING R&D MONEY. Kill the Foleo and Gandolf NOW! What a waste of time/money. Maybe this is why they've been looking for new Product Managers (many openings previously on their Web site).

READ ENGADGET DAILY. Good grief. This is a Product Managers dream. Real input from real users that actually care about making Palm products a success. What more could anyone want.
Read the patent abstract and you'd probably agree that they have no chance of winning. Although the attorneys will make a boat load duking it out. I could kick myself for not going to law school and becoming a patent attorney (stupid worthless computer science degree ;-).
Ugly yes, but come on, what kind of consumer/business research leads to such a mistake. The Treo 750 is a fantastic device and could be simply improved to make a fantastic 800 Series. On the software side, they must invest in add-on applications that give the Treo the sex appeal of the iPhone (but aimed at business). On the hardward side, just add high resolution screen (missing for some time now - I think they exist (good grief - my HTC's have had them for years so I think they actually do exist). Add Windows Mobile 6 now (come on - hasn't it been long enough now?). Maybe license HTC Touch software (need an iPhone killer for business). 2MP camera at least. A wheel for selecting stuff from lists. And for goodness sake - a MiniUSB connector (this proprietary crap is killing me). MicroSD to save a bunch of space (instead of current MiniSD). I love the feel of the Treo 750 (rubberized case) and the size - not too big, not too small - just right in my book.
I drove a Sonata V6 on a business trip recently and have to say it's better (more solid, much faster) than my V6 Camry at home. I would buy a Genesis in a heart beat - EXCEPT - RWD. If an AWD option is offered, the Genesis will be my next car.
It will replace my Suunto MSN Direct watch.
Why not dump the F2 all together and focus on what they are best at doing. The Treo is not done evolving by any stretch of the imagination (could have better display, could use mini-usb instead of the archaic dedicated interface, could be slimmer, could come with a slide out keyboard version, could support WiFi, could... well the list goes on and on.
Yikes! The Treo 750 has an excellent form factor - why not just REALLY improve on it. They need to 1) give it a boost in speeed/memory 2) fix the screen 3) WM 6 Prof 4) and good grief - use a mini-usb connector (current cables for power, connectivity are brain dead). I will never buy a device again where I have to carry around specific charger and connection cable.

"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
