Nokia's patent application shows 8 megapixel N-series slider? {Engadget}

Dec 3rd 2007 6:27AM It really gets annoying when companies attempt to patent everything they do, but then again it's equally frustrating when all the other companies attempt to copy it because they can't be bothered to think up their own stuff.

If you are able to improve on someone else's intellectual property, you should be able to, but I don't agree with crappy cheap rip-offs.

The digital TV switchover begins... in Britain {Engadget}

Oct 17th 2007 8:51PM "It's much easier to switch over a country that is the size of a small state, than a country several times larger than the whole of Europe."

If you're referring to the US, how is that several times larger than Europe? The EU and the USA are roughly the same size - Europe is 10.2 million km² and the US is 9.83 million km².

The UK is 244,820 km², just smaller than the state of Michigan, and there are only 10 states bigger than that.

I wouldn't go round making unfounded statements like that - http://www.shockgadgets.com

Student receives Paris Hilton's recycled number, along with a lot of late night calls {Engadget}

Jul 8th 2007 2:52PM Why don't they just leave the real news up until tomorrow then? At least yesterday's posts are remotely acceptable. Surely that would be better than updating the homepage with this drivel.

Jul 8th 2007 10:53AM Come on Engadget, what do you think you're doing. Expanding your horizons? Celeb gossip may be interesting, but its nothing to do with gadgets. Go post it on TVSquad or something. Please.

Keepin' it real fake, part LIX: Sony nano sure to be a hit {Engadget}

May 26th 2007 5:44PM OMG - maybe this isn't a real Sony product? Maybe someone made a fake one and just put a Sony logo on so that people buy it? Scandalous.

2005 - http://www.engadget.com/2005/04/22/xbox-360-this-is-it/
Speculation is what half of gadget journalism is about - the xbox 360 is one prime example

2006 - http://www.engadget.com/2006/07/20/apple-on-iphone-were-not-sitting-around-doing-nothing/
How do you expect me to pick ONE post out of all the iPhone speculation? I like Chris' writing, so that's how I picked this one. Damn these choice-inducing competitions.
