I've held one in my hands @Photokina. Without the hard drive is was very light. Was built out of plastic, that to me as a photo-pro would be hard to take seriously. I own a PD-70x and that one is built to last. The display, wich might be a nice feature to a beginner doesn't compete by far to the current display's used in any new camera. Very low resolution (you can count the pixels!) and the colors are washed out. Did a mention that de viewing angle affects the display quality?
My PD-70x has no feature for SDHD cards, and yes I've also bent a pin on the CF card slot in the field (wich I luckely could repair myself).
I too am dissapointed in Engadget. The clean image of new technology is tainted with hacking news. I used to come here for new gadget industry news, now they start publishing hack-the-box news? So I ask you, will you also publish new phone hacks, psp and HDTV hacks? If you do so, you will surey up your visit counts to your site, but with the kind of visitors I realy doubt you would like to serve. Also I guess invitations from gadget producers will drop to a non-existing level. So my advice is, remove the newsitem, apologize and keep up the standard I'm used to read every day!
Why does everyone kick #1's *ss?? Although the prospect of transimitting my data through the powersocket is great, #1 does call the attention to some issues that aren't contradicted by the one's kicking and shouting!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
