@giuliop
im aware of robots being used for many many years in manufacturing, thats why i said it, i have first hand experience as im sure MANY other people do too.
and i would have to agree with you. after i wrote that comment and had relaxed a little and recvoered from the sensationalist angry state i wa in, it did occurr to me all the logical applications for such robots, eg. aged care, home help etc...
so i do stand corrected

however if i ever see some dipshit chinese guy standing next to anything hello kitty (eg: hello kitty dishwasher) i will probably punch the closest thing near me (985 times)
well i can only judge on what i have experience
and my brother owns a sony vaio, and my sister an asus
and i can tell you i would take the vaio anyday, even at double the cost
i can see sony killing this market, because personally, PERSONALLY i hate asus, and their design, and thier build quality
i can just see this working well though... and if it works well enough even i might buy one!
wtf is the point of having a humanoid robot?

why not just make specialised robots for tasks, eg manufacturing etc..

i think this is a waste and is going nowhere..

fell free to prove me wrong
haha, so now when your relaxing in your armchair with your glasses on and enjoying a martini, you can listen to a maxell take on a big speaker for hours and hours and hours.....

hell be sore, (and thirsty) by the end!
this seems to be badass to the max,

now sony...
take this, and your telecommunicatios skills, and your maaad portable audio quality skills, make this the coolest portable media device ever, and make my wet dreams come true and your wallet full.
the day i buy a portable media player that i am 100% satisfied with is when it is something akin to ipod touch, but made by sony walkman (i am loyal to the pioneers!) and is very compact, incredibly stylish, and has HUGE space for me to put every dvd i own on it. (for example, all the movies tv shows and everything) then i will a happy owner, (i would pay very good money for something like this, and one day im sure it will be the normal, but ntil then :'(
i have a question. how will this work with... lets say gta 4. when your driving in the car (lets say you turned the wireless off, cos you prefer to listen to your own music from the XMB) and you get a hpone call.... if you wrre just using the wireless in the car it attenuates it so that the phone call can be heard more cleraly, will the user supplied music do the same thing? cos if not, im not really interested.
hahaha im sorry mistake.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
