Matt,

I worked in Television for a number of years, and as much as camera operators would love ergonomics, it is about function before form. There have been no cameras in broadcast that were overly comfortable. All camera operators wear support belts and back braces for a reason. When you're walking around for 4 hours a day lugging around a 20-30 lb camera, this camera actually looks like a camcorder compared to what is typically used. Weight is probably the number one complain by camera operators. Then comes image stabilizing. We called it the steady cam. Good luck wearing that for more than 30 minutes without feeling it in your back.

In my experience, very few broadcast equipment is built for form... they are built to work well and to last.
Odd thing to say considering that Chrome is made with Safari engine.... in it's core it's an Apple.
I agree with Rick.

My Blackberry which is on a corporate unlimited plan. I spent 2 weeks of traveling by road and I had the GPS and Google Maps turned on for most of that time and I had my instant messaging on the whole time. I racked up 1.5 GB of data for the month (yeah my telcom department kind of freaked on me for that but since it was unlimited they didn't really care that much). That's pretty extreme (plus the battery drain, but I plugged it into my car to maintain the drain).

I wanted to see how much I could rack up on that phone. Now granted I never browsed web sites on the blackberry (because it sucks!) but the usage I pushed it to was pretty intense. Unless I was doing some peer to peer serving, I'd find it hard to do 6 GB per month and actually I think that used to be the written limit on my Shaw broadband cable connection anyhow (10 GB now?). So pretty close is true, but the price is still a little more than what other competitors are offering, but better than the first initial offerings from Rogers.
Man once you ride around Vegas on a scooter and get treated like a VIP, there's not turning back... so the broken leg is healed now, but ah lets all embrace laziness for better customer service.
Well for military applications this would be a huge boon. Getting closer to those added health booster you come across in Quake or Doom.
I too am interested in that part. Our house has gone entirely wireless and it would be nice to control the printer through this if it's a viable solution. The other question I have is, I hear that it can take a USB drive in it to expand it. If so, can I put a USB hub on it and run printers and a USB drive to it since it only has one USB port on it? I guess its a matter if the I/O controller can handle it or not?
Been using it for 2 years as well.

This is great news and hopefully my outstanding complaint against Shaw with the CRTC will get more clout when I add to the file that products can be bought directly in Canada.

Cable cards have to happen. I hate being tied to a specific unit and that's the crux of my complaint with the CRTC. I suggest everyone write to them. They do listen and they have been corresponding with me and with Shaw for the last 2 years. Shaw's corporate management has been talking to me, but nothing they have provided to me has been satisfactory. "Thank-you for choosing Shaw", well if I truly had a choice it wouldn't be them.

Comments like EW's always make me laugh.

I'm a Creative Director and worked for various agencies over my 20 year career, big and small and personally I could give a rats ass if a single organization wants to perform a contest that REWARDS their fans for creating something that gives them bragging rights to. I wouldn't expect any entry that I submit would help my career in anyway or expect to use it on my resume.

If your designers who belong to your trade organization has any real skills then they should be concentrating on helping their clients profit margin and using that record for their careers. Awards and trade associations love to pat each other on the back and tell potential clients that they get 'Quality award winning' work, when the reality its all just one big circle jerk.

I've helped many organizations double their profits and have been rewarded happily for it. When I pitch any campaign or design to a new client, I stand on this record of accomplishment and not on any awards or trade associations I belong to.

At any rate stop being a baby and let the fans have a stab at this contest, I doubt it really make any difference if your group's band of niece and nephews will hurt from this minor 'job'.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
