Finally the SlingBox has arrived in Mac world. Sling Media has now released the version 1.0 of their software for Mac OSX.

Won't be long: I'm going to be "slinging" my home TV cable signal right onto my Mac book -- at the dorm, in the airport, maybe even at work!

Here are the details of the last year's developments, including screenshots of the TV remote you can use right from your Mac, miles away from your living room.

There will be two contests at the JavaOne Developers Conference (starting today) to program the RS Media robot: the first one is a contest in making it boogie. The second contest involves using all the robot's skills and powers to escape a fiendish maze.

Meanwhile WowWee CTO Davin Sufer has created his own blog, to discuss the coming innovations and changes in WowWee's world of robots:

Lots of folks said that the Drobo is too expensive for them.

Well that just changed. Data Robotics dropped the price by $200. It is announced on their Drobospace.com website.

They even promise to send a check to any pre-order customers who paied above $500.
One thing you forgot to mention...

The Drobospace website (http://drobospace.com) says that people who already bought the Drobo for over $499 will automatically get rebate checks for the difference.

i'm a huge dragonfly fan (and pilot!)

I just found an interview with the wowwee inventor of the dragonfly, Sean Frawley. Details on the fly, its creation, its durability and more...click here
I'm into hacking and modifying my robot toys... but dissection? eeeeeew!

Meanwhile... I just found this great interview with Sean Frawley, the inventer of the dragonfly... how it was developed, questions of durability, carbonfiber, and more.

tres cool!
sorry everyone.
I got email asking where that "Building a Great Home Theater System" was located:

http://www.dvrplayground.com/article/14907/Building-a-Great-Home-Theater-System/

and thanks in advance for answers to my questions!
Forgive my beginner's comment, but I'm curious about whether I should pick a video projection system or a flat screen. I imagine it has a lot to do with the size of the room. But doesn't video projection lose a lot of its color if I have it in a room with a lot of window light available?

The other valuable article I've read -- Shelly’s ”Building a Great Home Theater System” -- goes into this from several sides, but dismisses video projection as inferior.

Lemme know.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
