How about a bigger screen AND make it a flip screen? :)
http://www.lab.kz/2006/09/29/party_timer.html

apparently this party clock is only a concept but it would be nice if it was real.
taking pictures in 3D is nice and all that but...

where are the 3D projectors and screens?
useless. mp3/aac is not lossless therefore this mod is moot..

just as useless as someone I know who forked up about 1500$ for a new power cord for his hi-fi equipment. as if a 6 feet long power coord made of some "new super duper mega fantastic metal alloys" is gonna help when the building he lives in was built in the late 60's with its original electrical system utilizing undersized wires is still in use (vacuuming while the tv and micro is on results in burned fuses) and the power box he's hooked up to is about 600 feet away, just as old as the house, plus there is a heavy duty motor shop hooked up to the same power box...

and a 1500$ power cord from the wall to his his hi-fi equipment makes it "sounds so much better"
yeah, right...
my bad, typo. should have been 27.995, not 29.995 as previously listed
it should be much of a problem with adapting the hat to control other cars.

Nikko is not exactly a quality producer of RC cars but they at least use a common radio frequency used for RC cars plus their cars and transmitters allow for exchange of the frequency crystal making it possible to drive several otherwise identical cars at the same time.

that shop sells the controller caps separate for 99£ which isnt so bad.
now I dont know if the controller hat allows exchange of the crystals, it should and from what I can tell from that article it does, Caesar, all you have to do is get yourself the controller hat, a set of frequency crystals and a different, faster car of you're likings that runs on the 27mhz band.

if the hat doesnt allow for crystal exchange then what you have to do then is swap the crystal on the car by trial and error and find the frequency the hat runs on, which shouldnt be so hard as Nikko only uses 6 different crystals at 29.995, 27.045, 27.095, 27.145, 27.155 and one more freq I dont remember.

easie pie ^^
@snowglyder
I would opt of a gas mask, but no, night vision goggles wont help you there.

is it only me that sees other uses for this device, or is it my brain thats wired wrong?
imagine a bank robbery, the robbers makes a speedy exit with a fast car, and with cops chasing them they approach a intersection. now the robbers had already placed, lets say five of those units, at that intersection and as they approach they activate them remotely making a great smoke screen that prevents the cops from seeing what direction they go, or even swap cars at that intersection..
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
