Rumor: Slash accidentally reveals Guitar Hero: Hendrix {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}

Sep 17th 2008 3:26PM No, Activision needs to have a word with Rolling Stone for publishing those words. Having worked in a magazine and knowing how the process works, somebody at Activision should have been in contact with RS to proof the interview for something of this nature. Dollars to donuts that if they knew this was going to be published, they would have struck it from the draft.

That, or they just want the word out "accidentally."

XM's upcoming XMp3 sneaks into latest issue of Popular Science {Engadget}

Sep 14th 2008 8:00PM Gotta agree with the others. I've had my Inno for years and have few problems with it. I even accidentally dropped it from a train platform to the tracks below and the thing still worked. (It didn't land *on* the tracks--that would have been a one-in-a-million chance.) Sound quality is indeed lacking but it does the trick, although I wish for more/expandable memory on upcoming models and better memory partitioning (50/50 MP3/XM and 100% XM isn't exactly practical).

Don't like commercials? Don't tune to the stations with the little "CM" indicator next to the name. Problem solved. Or if you do, know that they will play commercials on those.

Wii Warm Up: Still Fit? {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}

Jul 21st 2008 10:52AM Last night was the first time in a long time that I didn't use Wii Fit, but all in all I'd say it has helped me lose part of my 80+ lbs. since its purchase about a month ago (maybe +/- 20 lbs.). Note, however, that it's only one tool of many: proper diet and walking 2 miles a day are also part of my plan. I also lost the first 60 lbs. without it.

mrtee073: Yes, I've found a difference of at least a few pounds between Wii Fit and my bathroom scale, which I put more of my faith in.

SegaPleaseMakePanzerDragoonWii!: Check Target ads in the Sunday early editions of your paper. If they have them advertised, get there when they open. That's how I got mine :)

Modder shoves emulator, ROMs into actual NES controller {Engadget}

Jul 20th 2008 12:01PM While admire the ambition to tackle such a project, I prefer having my NES emulator on my laptop then connecting it to my 42" TV and using a PC game pad.

But that's just me.

Keepin' it real fake, part CXXIII: the Wiimote candy dispenser {Engadget}

Jul 6th 2008 11:16AM I picked up a few at Walgreens a while back: http://www.flickr.com/photos/aeromat/2499007201/

They are cool to look at but really suck as dispensers. And the bubble gum? Pure nasty!

Nintendo snubs gamers over 330 lbs. {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}

May 31st 2008 11:30AM Somebody who has a problem with Wii Fit's weight limit shouldn't see that as an insult but motivation.

If you are more than 330 (and not proportionally balanced, i.e. very tall) then work on losing the extra weight on your own knowing that using Wii Fit is close to becoming reality.

I've been there so I know. I was nearly 300 lbs., now 229 lbs. and plan on reaching my goal of 200 or less by next year. By the time I'm done I will have lost over 100 lbs., and Wii Fit is definitely a change in my normal routine of walking and other exercising.

It's possible. It just takes time.

Wii Fit: feelin' the burn (part 1) {Engadget}

May 21st 2008 4:40PM Traineo.com is about the same thing. I (username: aeromat) use it all the time and I dig it.

Hoping to get me hands on a Wii Fit soon. Unlikely, but I'd like one. In the meantime, it's back to losing the weight--I'm down almost 65 lbs.--the old fashioned way: eating less, moving more.

*sigh*
