a cable card seems to be a modified pcmcia card.

When i inserted one into my laptop it said found new hardware, but obviously couldnt find drivers.
> BTW, I will buy what I wish, and do with it what I like.
(as long as it does not impose upon other peoples rights, i.e microsoft)
The homebrew is not the problem, its the stolen games that they dont make any money on. Thats why they sell the systems for a loss.

That's what freedom is, and if it's (america is not a free country its a republic)
> against the law, then I'm a criminal. (you are and so am i)

every say the pledge?
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
Go to monoprice.com they have switches for much much less. Like sub 100 dollars.
:) you beat me to my post. HDTV is in 1080i and 720P. Most are in 1080i.

Also, the biggest factor in a television is not the resolution, but color rendition. So, your nice new tv with 1080p does not look as good as my "antique" sony 34xbr960. Sure I only have 720p but thats all i need since NO television shows are in 1080p and most hd movies are 1080i or 720p.

the difference between 720p and 1080p on MOST televisions is not discernable. The only reason to get a television with 1080p is the resolution when using it with a computer.
its not what this does, but what it least to. Governments big busisness dont take your liberties all at once, thye slowly take it. Bit by bit your information is used (for your good) until it is abused in the name of terrorism and or whatever they feel it should be used for.

I do not and will not carry a gps equiped cellphone.

Just because i dont do something that deserves watching does not mean i want them to be able to.
to the guy ^^^ with the comments about toyota trucks 10 years ago (1996)outlasted anything made by americans.

I also dont see MS droping hte price of the 360. I believe they will add a game or another controler or something like that.
I have a itronix go book III. Its an awesome computer. The battery life is insane. On the main battery i get about 6 hours if im using my bluetooth mouse and sierra wireless card. With the optional battery i get about 10 to 12 hours. With the two batteries i can swap in my two spairs without having to turn it off. Its overkill, but thats what makes it fun :)
words can not say how much i want this phone
this is by far the best site i have found out there. not only is the content fresh, but it is well written too.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
