Wow. Just when I was somewhat considering switching to V for a while to try out their network. I'll say this will certainly play into my decision. I'm not just saying that with spite and as a knee-jerk reaction to the the man being the man. These fees need to be specific to devices. I need to know why I'm charged an ETF. They really should show the price of a phone and how you're paying over time, etc. That would be a win.
This needs to be an option here in the US. I think it's wasteful to purchase a new phone every 2 years, or whatever. My first gen iPhone is fine, but my 2 years is long up. BUT I'm still paying as if i'm paying off the phone. My plan's fee's should have changed once I paid off the phone. Since that's the case, I'm thinking about getting a new phone, really only because I can now. It's stupid.

This goes beyond just more profit for cell providers (locking me in for 2 more years), this is also a "GREEN" issue. I'm not a tree hugging maniac, but that's the cool thing now and one would think that Tmobile, for example, could see some nice PR and marketing advantages by promoting this line of thought.
I know, it's been said, but if only some android lived within. But then again, WinMo might not be such a bad thing after all.
Yes, Michael Scrip, there is a map for that. Area, of coverage, on a map. Get it?
The Colony was really something that drives me nuts. Is the finale really in HD? The rest of the season wasn't.
Yeah, not really seeing any color e-ink in that video. That's definitely traditional e-ink signage.
JT, Perry has a good point. I don't know what kind of little box you live in, but a lot of the world is cold in the winter. It really is a pain to have to take off a glove to answer your iPhone. I understand why Apple did it, but there really should have been more dedicated buttons on the iPhone. HTC has a way of providing traditional buttons as well as a big touchscreen. I hope they stick to that.
Remote bricking?
"Pushes out"??? did SE use that term? b/c Gizmodo did, too. What gives?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
