If you can't see the point of 3D you're too old.
Could you find a WORSE camera operator to film this piece?
Sack the camera operator.
If you *think*...then you have another *think* coming. C'mon chaps, you've got a new President and everything! Keep the standards up!
Hey Ryan, was it the original iphone charger?
I wonder if he was using an old firewire ipod (i.e. not iphone) charger? IFAIK these operate at a higher voltage so may be the source of trouble, if indeed there is any...
sorry geckno you have that the wrong way around.
you know how in seinfeld there was the j peterman catalogue, where they made up stories about products in order to sell them? That rambling post by 'cash' reminds me of one of those but in reverse. Like a story made up not to sell the product. On the day the new product came out. What a coincidence. Hating a keyboard so much that he didn't even want to take it home, evenbefore he got to use it. And he' bought it for someone else anyway. A 1200 imac. Hi, here's the new imac I bought you as a gift. err...I threw the keyboard away because I didn't like the look of it. No really. I believe you, Mr. 'cash'.
Sorry, of course I meant HD2! Some demo footage, sadly down rezzed but showing how good the macro is

The other Strange planet vid was also partially shot on HD2 (the 16:9 and 2.35:1 shots) I won't put links in for eveything in case I attract the >spam! spam!< brigade.
Hey Tony, I think you misunderstood my post, or I wasn't very clear. What I meant was, if you're getting 15fps video, like you would possibly want for a website/email etc. then what's the point of having 720p?Anyone looking for web video will want 640x480 or 320x240. Anyone looking for hidef wouldn't want 15fps so as a feature it's a bit of a white elephant, or a marketing gimmick.
The Sanyo has a wide lens acessory, AFAIK, and the image stabilisation is actually remarkably good., for digitallll
7.2 vs 12 mpix? I'm told my 'old' non L series lenses are not good enough to take advantage of the 11 mpix in my Canon 5D, so I had to spend $3000 to upgrade the glass. Now we have the same mpix on a ??$400 ? point and shoot.Do you think the glass will really be able to resolve detail to actually use those 12mpx?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
