Wrong - MS have filed patents for and announced their intention to supply at least one motion-actuated controller for the 360.
Hope they have developers ready to push the Wii's fun party game ideas to a much higher level and not just tweak the visuals - instead.. actually make something that's fun to play and which has some depth and longevity.
Ricoh might not be the best known name in the digital camera industry, but have in fact won the TIPA Prestige Camera of the Year award two years running (2006 / 2007) - so perhaps you shouldn't be so much of a "brand snob" and make ill-educated remarks about image quality.
I bet these awards would be treasured by ANY of the big name camera manufacturers - so don't knock something until you've tried it.
Yeah - some of us work there for the Ricoh Family Group! It was very strange the other week, the sound of Daniel O'Donnell singing below us in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall was kind of spooky and unsettling.
Hey guys - this is not a pro SLR camera. Neither is it a simple snapshot, point and shoot cheapy either.
The GR range have always been special bits of kit - fantastic for interior shots, landscape and street photography... without the bulk and faffing-about associated with an SLR.
You guys are not the target audience for this device... therefore comparing this to other categories of camera is like comparing a motor-home with both a Ford station wagon and an Audi TT.
So in conclusion, the GR is special - you only have to check out the quality of images it captures to see that.
Check one out in the flesh before you make a judgement based on the size and specs.
Erm... the news isn't that there's hotspots in McDonalds - it's that they will soon be making access to the hotspots free of charge (up till now, they've charged quite a high hourly fee).
This move should make good business sense, attracting people that would normally drive straight past a fast-food joint... even if they only buy a coffee, it's all money.
We've just got to hope that this drives competition and over the next couple of years and it becomes the norm for restaurant/cafe chains to offer free wifi web connectivity to their paying customers.
Such a move would certainly get me to spend more time in cafes and restaurants - connected to my own personal world of favourite web-sites, blogs, email and Skype.
Well Sir, not everybody wants a SmartPhone. I, like many, am issued a Corporate Cellphone by my employer which I can use for personal calls as well (within reason). Why would I double up on another cellphone? Plus I need a device I can use for work in environments (Medical / Military / Government) where cellphones are not permitted.
I just wish Palm would wake up to the large number of folks like me who have a real need for a well-specced PDA.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
