Might look better if it was Chrome.
This seems to explain the units sluggish response. There sure does not appear to be any RAM in there, so it seems like its running straight off the SD cards. Yikes.
Can I hook it to a wireless router and stream content over wi-fi?
Not sure how you guy's are getting a "rated 1.5 hours" currently? Are we using Jupiterian hours? Here on this planet, I am routinely getting 3-3.5 standard Earth hours with the thing, using wi-fi.

Two Questions:

1. Is this reversable?

2. Must one launch the Zune software anyway, or is this just something you do the first time?
Actually, the UMD is competing with the DVD. I can choose to buy a UMD or spend the same amount of money on a DVD that I can rip to my memory stick. The UMD has never successfully COMPETED for my $ when it came to buy a movie.
We don't need the mylo.

Sony - take the UMD drive away from the PSP, slap a sliding keyboard (and camera if you can) in it's place. Add G wifi and call it a day. We'll handle the rest.

To the folks who think a UMD-less PSP would alienate current users, I'm not convinced. Current users already have a UMD drive so Sony could make an app that allows one to transfer games from his old PSP to the new device or to a computer at least. Homebrew can do this already right from the interface, so I'll give Sony the benefit of the doubt and say they can do it too.
Turn on the TV out to shut your screen off. It will default back to the regular screen when you turn it off and back on.
Maybe the guy that wants to sync over the internet has more than 8 GB of content and wants to change content when he is out of town?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
