It's official: Apple press event Sept. 5 {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Aug 29th 2007 5:09AM In the Q&A at the iMac event Steve promised some news for the Apple TV too.
I've no doubt that this is an iPod event based on the invite, but I wonder if HD and/or Movie Rentals could be coming to iTunes and the Apple TV as well? I really hope so!

Cellucity apparently to be exclusive South Africa iPhone retailer {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jul 11th 2007 4:03PM I don't believe that - they're trying it on just like Phones2u did a few weeks back in the UK.
Nice try but there have been so many conflicting rumours now I won;t believe anything until it comes from Apple.

Jul 11th 2007 9:09AM Question for next week:
What are Apple doing to keep iTunes competitive and feature rich as the XBox marketplace for example? I have an Apple TV and an iMac and am getting a little frustrated that XBox users can now rent or buy in HD movies from all the major labels - isn't this what the Apple TV and iTunes should be offering us? After all - what I'm asking to do is spend more money!
Also, in the same theme as YouTube on Apple TV, wouldn't it be useful if I could browse and show photos on my PicasaWeb or Flickr accounts, directly through my Apple TV? I think it would be a great extension to the current photo options.
Apple picks O2 for UK, T-Mobile for Germany? {Engadget}
Jul 5th 2007 5:15AM I'm quite bored of this - everyday brings a new european carrier rumour. I just want to know it really is now - please Apple put out a formal release so we know for real.
And to correct someone earleir, O2 are only sponsoring the Dome, it was bought by AEG who own venues like the Staples centre (center).
Vodafone selected as Apple's Euro iPhone partner? {Engadget}
Jun 28th 2007 2:03PM I just called Vodafone - the business manager who looks after my company phones checked with his management and claims that it is coming to Vodafone, they just cannot announce dates or pricing yet. Although like all these things, only a handful of people at the top will really know the truth until it's announced or about to be announced.
Just hurry up guys!
Vodafone selected as Apple's Euro iPhone partner? {Engadget}
Jun 28th 2007 1:53PM This is probably just the retailer trying to get some PR - not the worst idea in the world by them!
