so lets give this a whirl!
okay let me clear up some MAJOR myths about verizon wireles..
I have had ALL the companies and since I have discovered Verizon I have not had any issues.

lets start with the service, awesome cell service. calls crisp and clear.

about transferring photos from your phone to your computer, all you have to is grab a Micro-sd card. insert into phone, go into phone settings and have the picture saved on the card instead of the phone. then use a card reader to transfer the pics. cheap and easy. no software to use, no nothing. OR if u dont want to buy a mem card, go on ebay and get a USB cable for $5, download some drivers and bitpim and you are good for transferrring photos.

about making your own ringtones... goto howardforums, do A LITTLE reading and it is VERY easy to transfer CUSTOM ringtones from PC to phone. I have been making custom ringtones for VZW phones since I got it, just takes A LITTLE work, about 5 mins. work, to learn how to use bitpim to do it.

about putting music on your phone, all the new vzw phones support mp3, just transfer the mp3s you want onto your microsd card and insert into your phone (Making sure you put it into the right directory of course) and you are good to go.

about the crippled bluetooth, all you need is a program called BITPIM, voila you can do almost anything to your phone.

but even with the crippled bluetooth, on my vx8600 i can still browse the phones memory card and a few folders.

also on my vx8600 i can tether it to my laptop and get FREE high speed internet ANYWHERE, it just uses your minutes. As long as you dont dl big files, VZW looks the other way if you dont draw attention.

for ANYHELP on doing ANYTIHNG on VZW phones, take 5 mins and go to the approptiate howardforums page and start enjoying your vzw phone
When 360 first came out, I was pretty disappointed in it and didnt see a reason to buy it. I would rather wait for the PS3.

but upon numerous visits to my friends house, and playing his 360, I liked it. the games were fun, graphics were good, xbl was awesome. So i decided to buy it about 7 months ago.

I rented games all the time and played XBL a good amount and was truly enjoying my system.

until last week when the disc drive broke. I thought I was one of the lucky ones whose 360 did not break, guess not.

It was kept in a very well ventilated area and played about 2-3 times a week.

So i called MS and they would fix it. after waiting for 10 minutes and listening to the VERY annoying menus and stupid messages that I could not skip, I got to talk to someone.

They said my 360 was under warranty and they would fix it. So I thought great, I should receive the box in 2-3 days MAX and send it back.

I called today, 4 days after my first call, still no box. I ask where is it, the guy said it is on its way and scheduled delivery on Aug. 6. a full 7 days after my first call..

This is UNACCEPTABLE.

YOU ARE telling me that MS, the RICHEST COMPANY IN THE WORLD, cannot afford 2 day shipping or better yet overnight shipping. they are using the CHEAPEST, and LONGEST SHIPPING available. to this I find totally UNACCEPTABLE. and UPS, which is GARBAGE.

In reference: a DELL laptop I bought 2 years ago recently broke, it would not charge. I called Dell on Wed., they said there was a recall on this unit. I received a box the next day at Noon from DHL. I sent it back thurs.

on Fri. at 2 PM, my laptop was back all repaired and working great. IN 2 DAYS, you listening MS, 2 DAYS!

and this is coming from DELL, who isnt really known for thier cust. service. Before this experience I would not buy a DELL because of their service and becuase of the annoying charging problem I had, but after this I will DEFINITELY BE GETTING A DELL next time. O and I did not buy the extra warranty.

In the case of the 360, you got the RICHEST COMPANY in the world and they are saving pennies by screwing over thier customers with ridicolously long shipping times, repair times, and shoddy hardware.

It seems the average time of repair is about 1.5-2 months. that is UNACCEPTABLE AND I CAN guarantee a lot of people WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER MS SYSTEM next time. and I will be one of them.

I will be DEFINITELY getting a PS3 later on and will most likely sell my 360, due mainly to this experience.

I dont need to support any company who wishes to save $3 in shipping charges. Hope it was worth it MS.
plasmas MUCH better than LCD...

do some research

NO lagging due to fast refresh rates, AWESOME angles, WAYYYYYYYYYY more colors (around 29 billion), burn in is a thing of the past, and o yea 60,000 hr life with NO MAINTENANCE TO DO EVER, o and AWESOME blacks

LCD is old tech
Funny how people keep mentioning that this is the LAW and that people who break it should be punished..

But instead of going after Wesley Snipes..WHY DOESNT THE IRS GO after the 12-20 MILLION ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS IN THIS COUNTRY..

all those people combined owe A LOT MORE THAN 12 million in taxes to the IRS.

Funny how the IRS doenst go after businesses who hire illegals to be P.C. but instead would go after a Hollywood star.

This country is going straight to the toilet..

and we all have our Great friends in the Senate, Congress, Judiciary, and the WHITE House to blame for them.

In about 20 years the US will be just like Mexico, lots of gangs everywhere, corrupt officials, and when the Mexicans start killing off white people, you will have no one to blame but yourselves for being such retards when it comes to ENFORCING LAWS TO KICK OUT DIRTY BEANERS for fear of a lawsuit or because it would be racist.

also F*** THE IRS AND IT BULLSH*T

GO after the REAL LAWBREAKERS, ILLEGAL immigrants and the businesses who hire them

O and is it any surprise both Taco Bell and Spinach products were contaminated with E. Coli recently.

Both have ONE THING in common, they were both GROWN IN CA by ILLEGAL MEXICANS who like to use the fields as Toilets.

Doing the work Americans wont do... that is when they take a break from driving drunk, raping women, and of course stealing welfare and medicare from US citizens.
lol

it already takes forever to dl 300 MB demos on 360... not sure why its so slow compared to my PCs dl speeds..

dling a movie/tv show in high def your looking at over 10 hours.. EAYY
CMONNNNN free 360

though we all know this is an elaborate scam and no one really wins.
A mod chip of course... that way I can unlock the true power of the 360s Xerons
DO you guys FAIL to realize how GOOD of a deal this controller is??

seriously you guys are so brainwashed by Nintendo and MS its insane..

Lets look at the competition shall we
360:
wired controller is $40 (SAME PRICE as the wireless dual shock)

WIreless controllers are $50 MORE (also since it DOES NOT COME WITH A BATTERY) you ALSO HAVE to purchase a play and charge kit (add another $15 PER CONTROLLER)...

Wii:
Now these guys are interesting..
First of all they are selling TWO different units to complete ONE controller.

The Wii mote, the classic controller, and the nunchuck.

Since people are buying the Wii for the controller.... they HAVE to purchase the WIi mote ($40) PLUS the NUnhcuk ($20) so it costs $60 to add a controller.. a full %$20 higher than SOnys.

O and sonys gives you A LITHIUM BATTERY BUILT RIGHT IN WITH A MINI-USB connector.. unlike MS who USES A PROPRIEYARY PLAY and charge port on the controller to charge it..

So sony has the cheapest controller, GIVES you a rechargeable battery, and motion sensing..

why dont you guys flame MS for its over priced $50... er $65 controller and Nintendos $60 crap instead
pretty much just Halo... nothing else really interests me that much
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
