stuff i don't need but still want.
to never have to make eye contact with anyone in public ever again...
The professor (Rebecca Allen) for my Design + Society course at UCLA is actually very involved with the project. We even got a lecture / talk with Nicholas Negroponte. I had the privilege to play around with the prototype of the laptop. I'll have to say, it feels very solid and promising. It is definitely not a gadget. I am excited to see what becomes of this ambitious project.

Insider trivia: the white and green color scheme of the laptop is based on Nigeria flag (as a thank you for the support from the president).
Of course I'll buy it the day Leopard comes out but I can't help but feel a bit disappointed by the features announced today (plus the fact I have 50 shares of AAPL). The features demoed seem to be more evolutionary rather than revolutionary. Maybe the "top-secret" features will be jaw dropping. I like the Spaces feature though (yeah yeah, Linux). New Dashboard seems cool too. Looking forward to Macworld now!!
20-inch: $649
23-inch: $899
30-inch: $1799

That's the education pricing for UCLA Apple Store. Pretty good, I'll have to say.
Microsoft Virtual PC can run in fullscreen mode, from installation to the OS. You can't really tell the difference except it's slow.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
