I hope they give Nike some credit. The tracking part is just Nike+ipod but for your back wheel instead of your foot.
@Kurian
most car steering wheels are made from thin metal tubes coated in rubber and maybe leather on top. They can be sawn through in less than 10 seconds with a small hacksaw. Thieves carry small saws for this purpose - removing steering-lock devices attached to the wheel. So this device is only going to stop the complete muppet of thieves!
No! No, no, not 6! I said 5. Nobodys comin up with 6.
Who works out in 6 minutes? You wont even get your heart goin, not
even a mouse on a wheel.

5s the key number here. Think about it. man, thats the number. 5 chipmunks twirlin on a
branch, eatin lots of sunflowers on my uncles ranch. You know
that old childrens tale from the sea. Its like youre dreamin
about Gorgonzola cheese when its clearly Brie time, baby. Step
into my office.
Ted: Why?
Hitchhiker: Cause youre f***in fired!
A nice idea - especially if fitted on an interior, plasterboard wall. In the majority of installations I suspect a fair bit of work is required to chisel out the blockwork / brickwork / wood behind the socket in order to accommodate the huge 3d socket!
"subject to a fair use policy of 750 megabytes per month". I hope this doesn't include the use of wifi in my own home!
"ALL prices are exclusive of VAT". In other words add 15% (or 17.5% when the rate increases, very soon). Orange are misleading consumers by not putting this on their pricing! In the UK, VAT is almost always included in pricing (99 times out of 100). Therefore most people would assume the prices in the table would include it!
Enough with the caption contests Engadget! The submissions are never, ever funny. Come on guys, you seriously think that these geeky in-jokes you're posting actually make people laugh? Geesh, this is tragic, please call an end to it!
This is a hacker's dream. It requires users to leave their computers open to all sorts of attacks, opening up all those different access points, for file sharing, chatting, and so on. I think this will take off but not via Opera. Wait until Mozilla or (dare I say it) Microsoft rip off the idea and then bring it to the masses.
I love Neogaf but they don't show Joystiq much love - have you seen what it says on their FAQ board? I tried to link to a Joystiq article in my neogaf post once and the link was filtered too.
Thanks anyway but I got tired of waiting for a release so I bought the darn headset (it's great) separately, and now I've moved on to more interesting things. Killzone 2 I'm looking at you.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
