Fix for the economy, email me, and i will send you a detailed explanation as to why the economy in the U.S. is garbage!!!!! Plus, ill take the drobo, KTHNXBYE.
Seriously, Head into the store, all you have to do is make a stink and complain to the manager. Do not go in guns blazing, go through the regular process, let the Genii turn you down, and then request to speak to a manager. The bottom line is that apple retail is a joke. The common nickname for the management staff is 'ORIGAMI', cause the fold like paper under pressure!!
Hahahahahahaha, thank god for people who follow directions. Those items come in boxes clearly stating "Hold, do not sell till"!!!!!!!!! Gotta love those green employees at new stores.
To the two guys who work at best buy, 1st guy; stay in school cause you obviously haven't come close to mastering english. 2nd guy, just cause you work at best buy it doesnt mean jack. BBY doesnt spend enough on eduaction of employees for you too know the first little bit about tv's, audio, ect. Unless you are hard core and research this stuff on your own time, you will never be a "Pro", that bby and their so called magnolia "pro's" make them selves out to be. To the average consumer in hicksville you may know your stuff, but i find it tragic to see what bby has done to magnolia audio video. They have watered it down soo much its sad. In fact magnolia is trying to pull their name from bby. You will see, eventually god willing, all those MAV signs turned into "Premium" Home theater signs. BTW i work for BBY and I will agree with most the people who say best buy employees are dumb, cause the reality, most of them are idiots, or dont care. On the rare occurance you find someone who knows all the departments, and knows them well, ask them questions and go to them, not bby for answers. Also, just cause your a manager at a bby, doesnt mean you know AV. It just means the "right" people like you.
My favorite part of the movie is when the narrator clearlty states "with 300 at his back" during the scene where the spartans are making their final stand, after leonidas takes off his helmet. When earlier in the movie the spartan army had already departed, "Only a handfull remained, only one looked back" This is my favorite part because it is an error that was overlooked by the studio, the director and most of the fans of the movie.
I have the o rocker's, the originals from last summers release, and i gotta tell you, no wires works great for running, biking playing sports. The orockers are the best. I dont know if i like the orocker pro's though, i dont digg the frame. Oh and BTW bose sucks!!!!! If the paired with sure to make these i would buy them!
This is old news. Check out Inphase technologies. 1.5tb perdisc. They have been doing it for a while now.
You are correct. I mis spoke when i said Magnolia was started in CA. I meant to show that it gained huge popularity in california, and thats how best buy gained knowldge and ultimately saw them as a target to aquire the high end, as well as mid level, home theater enthusiast. I believe that best buy also bought pacific appliances. Or something like that, a southern cal. based appliances company that specializes in high end appliances and kitchen design. I think this was a while ago and may have ultimately turned out to be a failure, because BBY never did any advertiseing or launch, but maybe we will see a comeback.
Best Buy gets involved in these things because ultimately they see that there is huge money to be made!!!! Best buy has switched from being a retailer who moves boxes, products, to a retailer that would like to be known as a comapany that sells services, Buying geek sqaud and magnolia hi-fi, huge well known california service companies. Best buy also has probly entered into this because they are getting their arses handed to them when it comes to selling digital content. Walmart, target, you name em, they outsell BBY when it comes to media. Also, more than likely, if bby could free up their sales floors from all the cd's dvd's, they could bring in higher margin products and earn more per square foot. On top of that it is cheaper to maintain dowload services than to have Joe smoe, college student re-arrange and find all the cd's and dvd's suzy q wants. So by doing this best buy will be able to carry higher margin products in the area now being occupied by an almost no margin product, or just build smaller stores that require less staff and less energy, less everything. Instant gratification will cost you ladies and gents, but with hard drive and server prices dropping, why wouldnt a large reatiler rather just stream you content you will more than likely only watch once. And if you really like it, at least they can sell you a dvd from their online store.
Wait till the second gen, there will be some great new features. Also the reason at&t "locked down" apple for 5 years is that apple raped at&t ont his deal. They get a precentage of everyone of the new contracts that get the iphone. on top of that the phone new, brings a net revenue of over 300 dollars per phone. Obviously if there arent some crazy rebates.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
