Yes, I would like this stuff.

I would use it to fill up my room, and as a conversation starter with girls.

"I won a bunch of stuff from Ryan Block!"

"..."

"You know, from Engadget!"

"What's 'in gadget'?"

timothy
Yes. I would like the stuff. I crave it. Not each piece necessarily, but enough of the pieces to crave the collection as a whole.

Can anyone read enough Japanese to comment on the battery? If this thing takes a AA (looks too small for it) or a AAA (which might not have much juice, but Hey, I like standard / non-proprietary battery sizes), I'd be very tempted.

timothy
For $150, I'd say, Sure.

For $250 ... eh, that's $50 *more* than the EEE was originally supposed to cost, for a thing that (in the next technology year) has and does way less.

So, No, I wouldn't say it's worth $250.

But it they sent me one for free I would not complain -- it looks like a nice toy!

timothy
AAA cells? That's too bad. AAs hold a lot more juice, are more widely available, and I bet that's true even on your average mountaintop, oil rig, etc.
Assuming eligibility for the contest, I'd be using it to post to Slashdot and impress beautiful girls.

I love Swag. If custom license plates allowed (as they should) the "Heart" symbol, so I could have a tag that read "I [HEART] SWAG," I would. The one year I was at CES (several ago now), the press bags were uglier -- a sick green. However, I still treasure mine :)

Now, I wish to mine treasure. Therefore: my favorite gadget (of the ones I've noticed) is probably the Casio camera that does 1200fps. I hate the proprietary battery, but still -- that's sick! (Using the "awesome" meaning of sick. Like "rad.")

Seattle, the world's greatest city of its particular size, is where I'd like to go, and where I'd like to be. Send me there. Send me there.
I'd rather see a sticker that says one of the following:

"This operation completed accidentally"

"This operation completed surreptitiously"

"This operation completed coincidentally"

"This operation completed with not anaesthesia"

:)

"Unfortunately, in their efforts to keep costs down, RCA didn't include a rechargeable battery (etc)"

This writeup makes it sound like this camera comes out of the thin blue sky! It's part of a series which has been AA-only from the start (and mentioned quite a bit here on Engadget). And that's a good thing :) 2 hours of rechargeable AA goodness is just about right at the moment; the sweet spot for SD cards right now seems to be at the 2GB point -- it's safe to predict that 4GB cards will get more attractive, of course, 2GB + 2AAs works well, especially if this camera uses space at the same rate as its predecessors (the half-gig version is half an hour, the full gig an hour); I'm thinking about one of these for my niece's next birthday.

My big question is whether this model incorporates the swing-out USB "cable" (appendage is a better word perhaps) -- very handy.

(AA batteries rule! :))

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
