3.2 billion in gross revenue with a net profit of a half a billion dollars. If that's almost a grown up business, what does that make Engadget? Alternatively, look at it this way - this one devision generated 1/4 that of the entire revenue of Apple Computer. Ha. iFans all of you. :P

Jan 18th 2008 5:13PM Size of the download is a direct reflection on the compression ratio used, so while the live downloads are larger (taking more time) the quality of the films is actually better because of it.

The FAQ states this is supported now.

As a test I just snagged a $7.50 video - came down at over 500kbps in little over 38 minutes. the process was simple and easy to setup. Windows Media can play the files which are simply wmv video. Seems pretty slick to me.

Apr 6th 2006 6:03PM Essentially your going to be able to connect to a home Media Center and download music, shows, and movies from anywhere you can hook up to a wifi signal. Grab this weeks episode of 24 while your traveling in Europe, or that Disney movie you had stored for the kids. As soon as you get this aspect of these devices it becomes pretty clear how successful they will be.
