If you are refering to the single player campaign where the nuke is launched from the silo, I believe there was no EMP. I thought the nuke was deliberately aimed above Washington (in space) and it detonated. The EMP was the result of the nuke going off.
Yea, why do they limit the amount of players? Surely the limitation should solely lie on the hardware and internet connection of the server? Tons of people in a server is lots of fun.
Living in Australia, this is rather embarrassing.

It looks like we will have to order from overseas. BUT the problem is ISPs wont be hosting game servers for a game you can't legally buy off the shelf. There will be a shortage of servers in AU.
Oh how comforting it is knowing you are not alone!

I have some chicken, lettuce and avocado sambos if you are interested.
What the hell? I have always used the word sambo as another way of saying sandwich.
Then get off crappy Australian ISPs.

Telstra ignores all requests from the media nazis for personal details on users or closure of accounts.

Not that Telstra is a great ISP, at least I know they wont go pussy on me and nuke my account.
"linux is the culmination of 20 years work of lazy programmers."

What a stupid and ignorant comment to make. Look at the change logs to the linux kernel minor versions, look how much work those 'lazy programmers' put into it.

"MS have window installer, your apps are stored in a list and need nothing done to install."

Mr. Clueless, meet 'package managers'. Oh, I can issue a single command 'sudo pacman -Syu' type in my password and my entire machine will update to all the latest versions. Kernel, drivers, X, window manager and applications. Everything.

Try and do that with your 'add/remove programs'!

"With linux on the other hand, you have a large number of terminal commands to use to do anything."

I love how everyone is so afraid of terminals. First off, ubuntu seems to be attempting to remove most of the terminal work so our cuddly friends with terminalphobia can do their word processing.
Funny you should bring that up. I am running Windows XP x64 and I can use all my 4gb of RAM. Not to mention putting my pagefile to rest. This install has to probably be the best I have ever used.

What are these features you lot keep going on about? Apart from Directx10, what exactly is 'life changing'?
Sucks to be an Australian Game Retailer.

Any gamer with a credit card knows what to do.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
