I'll chime in too and say I was one of the ones set to buy the PSP Go... until I found out they canceled the UMD trade in program. I have about 15 games for the PSP on UMD (which I don't play much anymore), but would have probably gotten the newest model if there was a way to get those games to come along with my upgrade if I traded up.

That was the main reason for not buying; price was a close second.
Getting to the heart of what Megan wrote - the problems this release is having (and the continued limitations of the software) - the buggy implementation of iTunes extras and LP mode. I've run into them too since upgrading to 3.0.

The problem seems to be that Apple doesn't properly beta test. Sure, they do developer releases (do they for the AppleTV tho?); but they don't do public beta tests, with proper feedback. I've long since learned that any x.0 release, and most x.x releases are Apple's unofficial public beta test software releases, and usually I wait until a x.x1 comes out before installing (my standard practice with iTunes for sure - every major release has had issues in our home).

Don't even get me started on the constant crippling of the AppleTV (or iTunes) for that matter. I've long since given up hope for support of .avi, .wmv (ha!), and other container/codecs that are otherwise the industry standard. Hoping the USB port would be opened up with this release was a pipedream too. At the very least, I'd like to see native support for USB hard drives to bump the 160gb storage the device has. Support for up and coming online net streams like ustream or even vimeo would be a nice boon as well.

I don't personally need a pvr experience with the AppleTV. I'd just like the device to be completely internet-aware, able to play most online media, support for external hard drives, and I'd like to be able to play and stream 720p content that isn't always just Apple endorsed or encoded.

One positive - at least with this release, your own content is at the top of the menu lists (though they still default to the second items - iTunes Store links).
Did I miss what happened to Kevin's g/f - the one he was seriously making out with in the Caffe Disco episode?
Call me when they decide to add autosave to the applications... you know, like how almost every other word processor (including Google Docs) has. Horrible omission.
erm, there is some "brainwashing" of sorts going on - Apple's doing the classic public speaking trick of driving home "power words" - you'll notice that each speaker had their own power words too - Jobs had his set, the other two had theirs - Jeff's words were "easy - really easy", said more than anything else; , but his keywords were easy easy easy. Phil's were amazing, incredible. This isn't by mistake.

To the thread commenter who said "most who buy apple products don't see these keynotes" true that, but the ones who do attend and see these keynotes often report, cover, journalist-up the keynote for Joe Public to read about.

This isn't by mistake. It's not malicious brainwashing, but it is advertorial brainwashing by design.
Definitely looks like a rebrand of the model I'm typing on right now - an Acer Aspire 1410. Quite a capable little 3 pound computer. Still won't play Youtube/Vimeo HD (that's a problem with Flash though, more so than the horsepower of the computer) but plays HD natively quite well and HDMIs it out as well.
I noticed something else too. Whiny boy Luke seemed to have a LOT of help during the fishing round; where the others were grabbing the birds and fish out of the water and out of mouths, sensitive Luke would wait with his knees up for the fisherman to hoist up the bird, and boy Luke would daintly grab said fish out of the bird's mouth.

Seems he had a LOT of help this round.
Something not much touched upon:

Here's the thing. I like women - like looking at lovely women, appreciate beauty as much as any hetero male does.

That said, I found Trump's constant commentary about women and their beauty to be downright creepy and borderline psychotic. He's an obvious letch. The stupid firings aside, his comments about women's bodies was not only degrading to the women there, but just... creepy old man.
I really wish TV Squad would wean themselves off their inlinking to Hulu videos. Only those within the US can see them, making this site an exercise in frustration for those outside the US.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I want a 13-incher. I need something with a great keyboard for typing, as this will mostly be used for note taking in class. I am absolutely smitten with the XPS 13, but I'm afraid that with its age Dell is going to give it an update soon. Any advice for someone in my shoes?"
