It'll read BD data disks, but won't playback commercial BD movies because Apple has not yet implemented the hardware DRM crap required for BD *movie* playback. Or at least that's afaik.
Yeah, right. I'll believe it when I see it.
It just looks like a typical black box to me.
another one bites the dust
Even if it was ancient, without a bloated OS overhead stealing machine resources, even relatively very low powered machines can run and perform perfectly well.
Why are you people arguing as if these options are either/or? Clearly he should be punished for committing a crime that hurt people, but also clearly he is a very smart kid who is clearly lacking direction and instruction. He should be sentenced to some sort of punishment, but as part of his sentence he should be ordered to enter into an after school program that will guide his intellectual future so he doesn't wind up putting it to malicious use again. Unguided talent is a recipe for trouble, and is a loss to the community.
Apparently it is you who needs to keep up with the times. Apple hasn't put out a new white product in quite awhile and has been methodically replacing all their once white products with new colored replacements. Imac - hasn't been white for months. iPod - hasn't been white for months. Last new product revision that introduced a white color product - years ago.

But personally, I think primary colors don't ever go out of style.
I'll take it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
