Kids need to be reminded that it isn't academic performance but what you look like that's really important.
I am running a Gigabyte mainboard that I got at the Tampa CompUSA before the changover. What can I say, I had me some computer problems and it was nice to at least have someplace easy to go where you could buy a mainboard. Everywhere else was crappy hole in the wall stores or overpriced big box stores. I used to order stuff from Tiger back in the day (way way back) so hopefully they will offer a nice place to shop for parts when you want that instant satisfaction that Newegg cant get ya. (Shipping from Newegg isnt super fast in Tampa)
bet these are going to get stolen a lot
Yeah I don't understand this either. You can buy phones without a contract anytime you want. How stupid do you have to be to not understand that the $29.99 phone on a 2 year contract actually costs $249.99 without a contract? And, if anyone actually took the time to read the cellular trade journals, you would realize that startup costs for new accounts are as high as $300 for any carrier. So what, you need new laws to get what? New service without a contract but with a $250 activation fee? Yeah I can see people lining up for that deal. Morons.
Why do I get the feeling I could soon be using my EEEpc while watching my EEEtv, and sitting in my EEEchair, drinking from my EEEcup?
Adagio hit it exactly. Salespeople could always activate you with no contract, or a 1yr, or 2yr if you had your own phone you didnt need the contract because you were not getting a discount on a new phone. Because the company wants people on contract however, they passed down a new rule that a salesperson would only get paid for the sale if a phone was sold with an activation and a TWO year contract on the sale receipt. I think recently they took the no contract option out, but in any case, why would a salesperson spend all the time and answer all the questions to activate a customer that the company is saying we wont pay you for? They could do it just to be nice I suppose. And when they get fired for not meeting their numbers at least they would have that warm feeling you get from helping people. Maybe this just means they wont charge 25 for the SIM, but really I never knew a store that wouldnt give away a sim for free anyway.
I always like Gigabyte. I hope this thing is awesome. Although, I wont be able to buy one anyway, having no money. A gadget lover with no money... so sad.
Wonder what the profit margin is on this thing.
Wow its been a long time since I wanted a new Moto but this thing is looking very very sweet... Hope I can afford it!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
