I thought I was the only person in the world who owned a copy of Terminator X & The Valley Of The Jeep Beets. I guess I could still be, but at least others are aware it exists.
I'm pretty sure the MPEG-4 support includes Divx. I know I've encoded a bunch of my DVDs with Divx and played them just fine on my Archos AV480, which also says it supports MPEG-4. Unless I'm missing something here.

What IS sad is that my AV480 came with a wall charger, TV-dock, built-in mic, and built-in CF reader. It sounds good, it holds up well and the only issue I've had with it was I had to send it in to get the battery replaced once (after over a year of heavy use). It also uses a standard mini-usb connector for data.

That said, assuming there is nothing like very poor sound quality or a completely unusable interface, I'll probably buy one of these and pay for the mains plug, FM tuner and mini-dock. At least they're not charging for the browser any more.
Has everyone forgotten Vertu? They have made equally (if not more) expensive phones for years and their feature-set is crap (not counting the 24-hour concierge service). They sell, and so will these.

But yeah, it's a bit chunky looking for the price.
Looks like someone's been watching too much Metalocalypse.
As someone who doesn't even get the option to try FiOS, I wish they'd roll out nationwide before they start doing extra cool stuff like this.
If it can do pressure sensitivity well, this could be great for artists. I'd love something like this.
I too am looking for a GPS that is strictly a GPS device.

I want:
-Audible street names
-Auto rerouting
-Maps that cover ALL roads in the US
-Updateable maps

Money is no object.
If this means I can see even higher resolutions in my monitors soon, I'll take it.
Renaming the parts is a terrible idea. However, when it comes to buying new computer parts, I'll be there looking for Pegatron and Unihan. Or maybe I'll do what they want us to do and just buy a new Asus pre-built computer.
I'm with Dustin Frazier on this one, the last generation they had some with huge capacity, and some with top-notch features, but no combination. It looks like they've really hit the spot, wi-fi, 160gb, and they tossed in a high-resolution screen as well. Fap-tastic!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
