Motorola insider tells all about the fall of a technology icon

Ah, the words "Motorola" and "excess" will always stick with me...I was in Cannes for 3GSM a few yaers back (just before it moved to Spain, IIRC) and we blagged some passes for Moto's lounge overlooking the marina. Free food and drinks from sunrise to sunset (and beyond) and they had some big-ish name DJ playing to a few hundred disinterested suits every night for the duration. (We even spirited our own guests in there for evening meetings...)

It sure beat watching Natasha Bedingfield "sing" in the Sony-Ericsson tent.

"...decidedly anti-DRM philosophy"? Erm, isn't the Amazon 'Unbox' VOD service particularly crippled?

"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
