Apr 6th 2008 3:26PM People seem not realize that even without catching 100% of all questionable items, the screening acts as a hell of a deterrent. Fact is that even if a knife is caught 1 out of 3 times, NO terrorist is going to try those odds, they'd be stupid to!
Heck even with that rather crappy batting average, we'd have caught 5-6 out of 19 boxcutters, and 9/11 wouldn't have happened...
