Engadget FTW
Why did you not take your case to the credit card companies. Sure it was pretty poor behaviour on their part but it sounds like you wouldn't have to be $600 down.
I'm pretty sure Salling Clicker has this functionality built into it and also allows for remote control of iTunes, WMP, Powerpoint, etc.
Has been a while since I've used it though.
I received a free Senseo machine when they were doing some customer satisfaction surveys; it made coffee comparable to mediocre drip coffee with little mess and pretty quick heat up times.
I bought a Nespresso M200 Automatic for £250 (about $500) just over two years ago. This machine is able to do the self-frothing milk but you have to wait for heating/cooling due to only one pump and heater. Not a hassle but less instantaneous.

Capsules run at about £0.28p (55cents) per shot, including delivery, over here. Obviously Nespresso are likely to have different global prices. It's a shame this machine couldn't incorporate the digital display like the Siemens Porsche nespresso machine. http://www.nespresso.com/precom/sima/npopzoom_uk_en.html?id_machine=C_E490_1&zoomstep=1
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
