No tether, no mms, and lame upgrades? AT&T is wanting to milk every extra penny it can from this deal. You can bet when they finally offer tethering and mms it will cost more than the current ridiculous prices. I am with the others who say they would love to drop AT&T. It amazes me how many iphone users I run into that are using separate cards for the notebooks to connect to the internet that belong to other carriers. AT&T is the GM of phone carriers. They believe we will love them regardless of how lame they support users.
Works great thanks. I just created a new calendar called "Call Log" and ran the script from the terminal. By changing the name to "iphonelogd.command" you can double click it and have it do its thing from the Finder.
This is bad news for me. I was told by an Apple developer at WWDC07 that this would be the case.
After the Bricking and lack of love I deserve a pretty pony.
Thanks. Seems to work well on my site (site-51.com). Looks clean but the other elements like Blog Rolls are not available.
Looks like a rip off of iPhone and coverflow. Can they really patent something already in use?
It was not enough that Al Gore won "Rig of the Week", the week I entered (I still think there should be a recount)! Now his incredible hypocrisy get him a Nobel.
I do not expect Apple to support 3rd party apps. But after paying $600 I do think I should be able to use my phone the way I want and need to. Much of the technology that Apple uses is developed by the same Open Source people they are slapping around.
Yep 3rd Party Apps are spanked. Score one for the Gestapo.
I agree that Apple needs to know we not feeling the love with all the energy spent on locking us out to make a buck. I contacted Apple to give them the feed back. The URL is

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
