That's not surprising, actually - both Mike's post above and Neven's Tumblr post state that the app is meant to be played on an iPhone 3GS, not an iPhone 3G or first-gen iPhone...
So is every Engadget editor contractually obligated to use eBoy graphics as wallpaper on his netbook/smartphone/notebook/desktop? For the amount of free advertising eBoy gets on this site, they really should just become part of Weblogs, Inc...

@tech head - your're right. Something's up - they're revamping the site right now, as far as I can tell:

Looks like the stuff Josh has been talking up the last few days is finally happening...
This is a minor addition, but did Apple release a new MagSafe power supply for 13" MBPs and MacBooks today?

I don't believe the previous model had the MacBook Air-style sideways cable connection....

What Boilerblues said :)

I had a 1G iPhone, the battery of which started to quickly deteriorate in the spring, just shy of 2 years after I received it. Once 3.0 came out, it lasted only an hour or two each day, even if I had the phone off in my office as I worked. I took it to the Apple Store and they checked it for me at the Genius Bar and verified that the battery was almost dead. I paid my $75 or so to get the battery replaced and walked out of the store in 10 minutes with a brand new 1G iPhone. The battery life has been terrific since.
Remy had it right - it's a straight up thug town, that Arlington! Totally not surprised to hear about a shooting in the Clizzledizzle... ;)

I picked up the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 last weekend and find it's great: not too expensive, terrific accuracy, and good battery life. The rechargeable AAA batteries I've got will help keep the cost of ownership down, too.
I picked up Times as part of MacHeist this year and really like it so far, with one caveat: refreshing the feeds takes a really long time. Whenever I start the app it takes a few minutes for it to stop beachballing and become responsive, and whenever it refreshes the feeds (every 10 minutes) it slows down dramatically again. It could just be one problematicfeed, but I do wish that the app could handle it better. Other than those periodic slowdowns Times is a great little program for keeping up with news you like...
I'm gonna buy a new plasma TV to go with these speakers - that's how I'll go about helping the economy recover :D
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
