Square Enix pulls the trigger on Chrono Trigger fan projects {Joystiq}

May 12th 2009 11:50PM Simple solution: Swap out the sprites for originals. Don't use any of the assets from the originals, and drop the "Chrono Trigger" moniker.

Really, that's the only way they can salvage the time and effort they've dedicated to this project.

It sucks that Squenix has to bully independent artists this way, but that's the world we live in.

NYC cabbies could have cellphone use blocked while driving... but probably not {Engadget}

Apr 14th 2009 10:06PM In the Seattle area, it's illegal to talk on the phone while driving without a hands-free headset...

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to apply to the cabbies, who are always babbling in farsi with their phones shoved against their heads while they run red lights, and zip through crowded city streets at mach 8 while completely missing the place you wanted to stop at.

For people whose jobs it is to drive, they do it as wrong as humanly possible.
