I am not sure why people keep talking about China, the gadget scene in Taiwan is totally different. Taiwan is that small island that's off the coast of China. They sell more legit stuff than China. You just got to be careful because most of the gadget only has the Chinese Menu and some phones don't have predicative text in English. However that's far and between. Lucky for you, you don't need an outlet adapter as Taiwan and Canada use the same voltage and plugs.

You probably can try to find the latest HTC phones since they are based in Taiwan, although I am not sure if it's still worth it to get the HTC Diamond, when it's already available in US and should be available soon in Canada.

Taiwan also has really good and cheap HDTV's/Monitors/Computer Supplies. If you are looking to buy a laptop that's not a Taiwanese brand (I.E. Asus or Acer or MSI) don't bother with it. Netbooks could be a good buy but the OS will be in Chinese.

I really can't think of anything more. Hope this helps

"I'm in the market for a new laptop, and I want a 13-incher. I need something with a great keyboard for typing, as this will mostly be used for note taking in class. I am absolutely smitten with the XPS 13, but I'm afraid that with its age Dell is going to give it an update soon. Any advice for someone in my shoes?"
