Jetson- esque ... it's the best word I've heard this year.
"ASUS TO STORM SUBNOTE/UMPC MARKET WITH AMAZING 13" WIDESCREEN MODEL" Last model has biggest screen in the UMPC market, threatens market for "regular" sized model.

"INTEL TO SMASH RECORDS FOR FOR CPU WITH LOWEST POWER CONSUMPTION " New 133Mhz "Pentium" chip uses just 10% of the power than the older, 1 Ghz P4.

over to you.
spot on mate, classic feature creep.
I'm no rocket scientist my friends, but in making the screen bigger, brighter, aren't you adding to power drain ?

The best a frugal CPU will do is offset this. But then you have GPS .......
Ha ! Linus Torvalds & Donald Melandson have sent the Microsoft hate-boy into bumbling disarray.

"i luv apple cos its so cool...and yet....Linux is so free and pioneering.....arghh what to do !?"

divide & conquer, Bill.... divide and conquer.
It's racism. We know you're trying to please your sponsors but Engadget is getting like Fox News.

Since Apple, Nokia et al get all the stuff MADE in China or other Asian countries with a low cost based- tell me why this one is so much different ??

Seems like people are getting a bit sick of Ryan.
can you say "over priced" ?

Asus EEE has broken the mould and buried its remains in the field of sub note / ultraa portables.

Makes me smile that you have all these clearly intelligent guys with premium educations but yet fail to recognize the aroma of the bean.
this is listed at 99 UK pounds on the logitech website. thats 200 USD.

slick it might be, but at that price, they can stick one, possibly more, right where the sun don't shine.

Don't be silly. It's like say FM Radio is 'crowded'. There ample room for lots of signals. Regulators decidie who gets what.
found this. go to the table at point 10.

arrrrggghhhhhhhggghhhhhhgghh

For reasons best known to themselves, Media Centre is ignored.

Anyone know why ?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
