"Looks like the government supports monopolies"
-- Its their own product and they should decide what it plays on or not. Not the French government

"....and as far as im concerned, apple isnt being the only one being crapped on, so im gonna be very curious to see how many moron apple fanboys start spamming this news item with their "anti-france, long live iTunes DRM music" crap."

Thats because Apple is the only one standing up to them
Bring back futurama!~
" I'm afraid 14 might be right. (as an aapl holder)

Maybe Apple and Disney can get a bird launched."
Why? It would be easier if Apple would just team up with Xm. Then Apple woulnd't have to launch anything themselves.

APple has to releaize that Xm isn't their competitor and could be their friend.

I think this picture is fake. But it is rumored of a video/XM device that can get videos from a satellite (The rumored Ipod Killer.. even though it won't be an ipod killer if XM comes with the Ipod one day).
" its enough w/ the apple comments. You need to stop. we know that you love apple, so stop not embracing them, and you need to stop embracing apple, instead of the evil empire. So they had one bad press conference. Okay, not tell me the most memorable microsoft conference."

Appple will win the people over again one day with a bigger announcement and engadget will be all over that. Today is microsoft's day with their oRigami. I think engadget is trying to stay neutraul.

Yeah and the Microsoft rumors are usually boring. Their products are just..... awful.

Hopefully this new Ipod will have XM in it or something
I thought this would be a huge event. May be the bigger event will be their anniversary or something?

But the new Mac Mini is a minor upgrade. Not the new features that were speculated about. No "Tivo-Killer" or TV- Tuner.
Apple still has room to improve

remember that Apple didn't make this a big event. they just wanted a few fun products to be shown. Hopefully a bigger event comes soon.
I am disappointed about the TV tuner. When I just went to Apple.com and say a new Intel Mac mini, I thought there would be a TV tuner in there. I was even thinking about buying one.

Now I'll probably wait a while and just see if Apple may include on.
I'll keep checking Macrumors.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
