Mar 19th 2008 11:51AM ColorWare is known for doing quality work. Their stuff looks like it is straight from factory. It holds up very well to regular use. Knowing what goes into painting a DS (http://www.dsfanboy.com/2007/12/27/purple-ds-purple-ds/) I can say that the price they are asking is reasonable.
I will add though that there is something far more satisfying about doing it yourself. Someone else mentioned getting replacement shells and mix/matching colors. I would take that a step further and say, "Get a replacement shell and some model spray paint and go crazy". Then if you really mess something up atleast you still have the original shell to fall back on.

Feb 7th 2008 6:12PM That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. I have a 2 remote charger and want to get a new one... total I would be spending about the same amount.
My issue is still that to charge I have to not only remove the gel cover but also the wrist strap... that is annoying. This photo makes it look like the wrist strap can stay on there... but you can never tell...

I read through the comcast Acceptable Use Policy and contract on their website... It basically says that it can disconnect people as they see fit if it is causing lower quality of service for a larger number of customers... the great thing is that they never say there is a limit... but if you go over an unspecified amount (that is up to comcast to determine) they can cancel your service... I figured as long as I wasn't doing anything illegal or running business or hosting servers on their line I had 100% of that line 100% of the time... so I can download 6Mbp/s 24/7... not the case... so after the first "warning" phone call I just canceled and switched to FIOS... I am glad I had an option. Someone else later talks about monopoly... I second that statement. Comcast only servives because they have no competitions... FIOS is better, faster, more reliable... AND half the price!!!
pfft what ever comcast... kep trying to impress people but soon enough more people will realize that you are full of BS....

I looked at doing a custom paint job on a lite... i am not sure how to get that clear shell of without destroying it...
I think that this is something that Colorware would do if you sent it to them. I don't know why they wouldn't/couldn't. I have seen aftermarket cases that will let you trick out your DS lite. And actually a replacement shell would be a good place to start to modify a lite. that way you can keep playing your DS while you work on your new colors...
