Engadget, 15 posts in a single day about a single product is far too excessive for my tastes. Many of these posts were redundant or even pointless ("So are you gonna get an iPhone 3G?" "iPhone 1.0, R.I.P.: 2007-2008", 3 posts devoted to different software apps) and could have been consolidated, or heck even put on your sister site TUAW. But this is what I've come to expect from you guys, and it's more than a little irritating.

As a reminder, there's only 37 posts tagged with "Computex2008", and they were spread out over 12 days.

So I guess that's that. Aside from posting here in the comments section (and being ignored) there's only one other way for me to make my displeasure known -- to be part of a statistic that will be one less than it was yesterday.

Engadget, I've read you daily for just about 2 years now. I'll miss your quirky reporting style, but not your obvious bias.
so i herd u liek milhous
Well, I for one have never seen a monitor that doesn't have square pixels (aside from LCDs with a 4:3 aspect ratio with 1280x1024 as their native resolution, perhaps). TVs yes, but monitors never.

Anyway, 1920x1200 is 16:10 whereas 1920x1080 is 16:9. There's nothing wrong with Acer's statement. They did explicitly use the "16:9 ratio" qualifier.
Pretty. Odd. = Pretty. Awful.

If A Fever You Can't Sweat Out was a $1,000 skin-tight leather outfit worn by a $10,000 a night hooker, then Pretty. Odd. is a scarf lovingly knitted by your grandmother and worn by your uncle Ned.
Well, since I royally screwed that one up, nevermind! Damn you Engadget comment system.
It wasn't as funny as I'd hoped it would be...
"Goddamnit, my projector is too damn big."

Yes, I'm sure we've all thought that at one point.

You forgot nVidia!
@Darkest
Initially I was with you, but after reading further down I don't think he was trying to be elitist -- those statements are quotes from other comments. Seems he just forgot the quotation marks and replied to the wrong thread.
I swear, Engadget, you guys have no shame when it comes to--

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
