I was actually at the Wedbush presentations when they showed this on Friday. Firstly, the iPhone was connecting using WiFi, not 3G. This would be pretty much impossible on 3G. Secondly, they showed it playing Crysis, and yes, it does run Crysis, though the iPhone wasn't actually running it. Yes the controls we shitty, and you'd probably never want to play a FPS on a touchscreen device, but perhaps it'll work for other games. And lastly, this was done more as a proof of concept than anything that will be released into the wild anytime soon.
I've never had a problem with regular batteries in my SB-800 (fifth battery included). Engadget should really get someone who knows photography to write for them instead of Darren, really.
Awww, someone call the WAHHmbulance. Good luck if you're calling on an AT&T phone though...

No bars, no places.
Seriously, you're almost as bad as Tim Stevens...
I'd like to see an old fat man try to get out of that. If it's anything like a beanbag chair, it'll take atleast 5mins and be hilarious.
I have to co-sign this comment as that is my exact experience. The EDGE iPhone didn't really impact my service any, but when the 3G came out, my service went to shit; the 3GS only exacerbated the situation.

All the while, AT&T is charging anyone and everyone more for data they can't get and calls they can't make. They should have started putting that money into improving their infrastructure instead of lining their pockets and whispering about 4G. And if you want better service, the onus is on you to get a Microcell (whenever you can actually get one).
That's not just for iPhones. Seems to be pretty standard for most AT&T customers in the NYC metro area.
Right now I'm using a Lenovo U330 w/ ATi Radeon HD 3450. It's actually pretty good and I'd say just on par with the nVidia GF 9400m. List is $900 but you can always find it for less.

Just another option. Dell and Apple aren't the only ones in the game.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
