No. No. No.

I'm NOT paying for two. Just no.
How can it still be called a Pearl without a "pearl?"
"Any set greater than 58-inches is exempt..."

Way to exclude the filthy rich California. Is anyone really surprised by this? The largest energy hogs are excluded. That seems backwards to me. Though I fully realize that by quantity alone that may have an effect but still, it should be universal and fair.

*Perhaps I'm a little jealous. :)
If they didn't have to ban their release of their E74 causing NXE 3 years after the release of the console (when the warranty expired) then there's no reason to be surprised that their biggest 3rd party money maker could be used as incentive to go legit.
@bdav I'm not completely sure. I was using it last night and it ran like total crap. I'm on Fiber so everything else is great. Just not that YouTube XL garbage.
@David Olivo I dont' think so. I was on it last night and even my iPhone still works so it looks OK.

If all else fails use the browser. I don't think that uses any API.
Suggestion...make the comment button/link more prominent. Or at least make the bubble point up instead of down towards the next story.
I think it all sounds great but it seems more like self promotion. Which I guess he has the right to do.

Is he going to develop an Android 2.0 version? Perhaps.

Point is, the Facebook app will continue to remain and as a CONSTANT user of the Facebook app I will honestly say that it is FAR from perfect. In every version there have been glitches galore. Not iPhone glitches either but app specific.

You can't view certain pictures sometimes, you can't comment and can't go back. You can't view groups, you receive notifications about items in groups that you uploaded but you can't see them or can't even see the images. You sometimes can't upload images to other people's pages even though the options are there, etc. etc.

That said it is STILL the best interface of all the other mobile Facebook apps out there.

Perhaps all it needs is a fresh brain to feed it and it appears that is exactly what is happening now.

So long Joe, and thanks for all the fapps.
Typical disclosure: I have all three systems and love them all. Yes even Nintendo's.

Now...

Twitter and Facebook on the 360 are just plain stupid. They don't run in the background and don't work function with the links which is primarily what people use them for!

Now you CAN use a keyboard, but the links are what are significant. Keyboard, mouse and built-in browser are key to Twitter and Facebook. Right now only the PS3 and GASP, the Wii can handle that.

I really enjoy BOTH my 360's (one of them sporadically crashes and the 2nd was a $100 Wal-Mart buy. :) but I know it has some limitations. I've been using the Facebook, Twitter, Zune apps and honestly I'm not impressed at all.

The Netflix on PS3 functionality is fantastic though the interface isn't as nice as it is on the 360. With most games (finally) catching up to the quality their 360 versions usually have the PS3 is slowly looking sweeter.

That $4 a month turns into 1 extra game a year and I will never turn my nose up at that. Modern Warfare 2 / Batman / Uncharted 2.

Oh and I SOOOO enjoy seeing dollar signs when I purchase things online.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
