Wow, 180 people put out of work 7 days before Christmas. It's the American way.
We own a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse with 170k on it, and a 1998 Chevy S-10 with 130k on it. There's something to be said for not having a $500/mo ball and chain around your neck.

Besides, there's honestly no cars on the market that I think are significantly better than what I have. I'm driving these cars into the ground.
I caught an episode of Jesse James is a Dead Man the other day and I thought it was pretty cool. They put him on a top fuel drag motorcycle. The first run he nearly ran it into the wall. Then he blew it up. They gave him a new bike and he ran it up to something like 160mph in the 1/4. They also put him in an F-18 and then lit him on fire (not at the same time). It was pretty entertaining.

Now if they could teach him to speak. I don't think he said anything on the show other than "that was cool".
Honestly, I think a car and the internet is all I REALLY couldn't do without. And that's because they relate directly to generating my income.

"Aaron Crowe is an unemployed journalist in the San Francisco Bay Area"

So he wrote this article for free?
Dumbest program on the planet. The government offers $40 vouchers and what do we get?

A $10 device being sold for $50.
So since we're "destroying" the planet, we can now continue to "destroy" it with a clear conscience by simply paying a penance to the self proclaimed eco-gods, and our sins will be forgiven.

And after they skim a percentage off the top for "administration" fees, some other groups of hacks get some cash. Then they also skim some off the top and eventually a tree gets planted in India or something. Or at least you hope it does.

If this isn't a scam I don't know what is.
Agreed. I also never understood why you can buy the same car from the same company with two different badges.
I guess I don't get it. I've been 100% CFL for a while now and I never thought the bulbs were unsightly. Mine are all covered by shades anyway, and the few that aren't (in the bathroom vanity) already look just like regular bulbs.
You don't have to. A buddy of mine said the salesman he spoke to was all too happy to knock off that charge to move the car quickly.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
