No. Not implying it. Let me just make it simple for ya,
*nix has better permissions then Windows. Period.
@fourthletter
At least *nix based OSs had security permissions in the 80s.
And to think that under such a fabo UI is still the registry... who'd guess?
Denial of reality. It just works.
I've had the worst history with Tooshitty (the Quasimotto series). Worse, extended warranty and support is parsed out to a third party (ServiceNET), which sucks royally!
"If MS makes similar transformation as they did from Vista to Win 7, I'm sold. "

They'd have to release countless patches and updates (larger then the actual OS itself) and make Win 6.5 usable, and then slap some UI effects on it, label it '7' and ask you to pay up.
Why can't the minority Microsoft fan boys ever get highest ranked here on engadget? Not.

I guess its the same reason that Microsoft isn't going to make the Windows Mobile 7 registry any lighter or a less bloated feature... because they can't help it. So sad.
There is so much irony here. When it comes to cutting edge game development, environments like Unity3D.com were only available for Apple's Mac running nVidia to develop games for Windows and Nintendo Wii (which uses ATI graphic chips).

It really doesn't matter what the destination platform is. Developers know what 'just works'.
so sad. so much potential in the OS. But I have to hand it to Palm's hardware design. It looks cool, and powerful, like the Pre did in all those photo shoots. Till you get it in the palm of your hand. Like an All Muscle Comic Hero Actor, till you realize they're only 4'9". Those commercials are so misleading, a model holding the Pre while sitting on a rock. Turn's out she's sitting on a pebble and she's actually a dwarf midget.

Pixi: Now with an even smaller, even less usable keyboard...
Replace it with secure *nix OS and talented UI designers that understand usability and can follow standards like CSS and HTML 5.

This would mean saying good bye to Windoze and IE.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
