Nov 1st 2009 3:45PM I take my Kindle DX on the train ride to work everyday. I see several other people on the train who own Kindles as well. Several people at my workplace also own Kindles. When I go on vacation, I take my Kindle on the plane and have my whole library of books and magazines with me.
If there is a market for regular books, then there is a market for electronic books. Your worldview seems to be limited by your own tastes and preferences.

Oct 19th 2009 11:51PM I love using my kindle dx to study and read pdfs. But next to this thing, my kindle dx looks so antiquated. If the B&N reader has wireless download of purchases and pdf support like the kindle, then its going to blow the kindle out of the water.

Oct 9th 2009 3:43PM swa, they do have one with a built-in viewfinder. It's called the GH1.
But imagine a GF1 with a viewfinder. Where would you put it? How comfortable would it be to hold a tiny camera up to your face? At first I had the same opinion as you, but after thinking about it, I realized that they made the right decision to make the viewfinder an add-on. A viewfinder takes too much space and if you are prioritizing size, then you leave off the viewfinder.

Aug 26th 2009 8:53PM Everyone, at some level, cares about what others think of them. Otherwise, there'd be no such thing as fashion, or even clothing for that matter. Fashion exists in every human society and is intimately linked to the idea of culture. Being dumb or smart has nothing to do with caring about how you present yourself. This desire is human nature. I put gel in my hair in the morning because I don't want to look like an idiot. And I wear deoderant because I don't want people to think I'm smelly. Other cultures may have different values, but what they have in common is that everyone wants to be accepted in one group or another.
