What with the poor exchange rate at the moment you are looking at £20 + international shipping costs (if they even do that) which makes the £30 ones here not too much more...
I think you are wrong, the United Kingdom is the ONLY country that has given a firm commitment to the DVB-T2 standard so it could wind up being a UK only thing, Ofcom and broadcasting services have agreed to 'set aside' one of the multiplex's for DVB-T2 transmissions and can broadcast HD transmissions on both DVB-T and DVB-T2, when the BBC started their HD trials they managed it fine on DVB-T systems, many people were able to receive it fine on DVB-T only receivers who weren't in the trial.

There were several articles about the PlayTV development and I remember a few interview with the team saying they had spent lots of time (weeks) with Ofcom, DTV Services Ltd, the BBC HD team, ITV/Ch4/Ch5 with regards to the planning and specification of the PlayTV hardware, DVB-T2 wasn't dreamed up overnight so if all these sources of information told them they are all going to use DVB-T2 only I'm sure they would have taken that into account.

"Except this tuner doesn't do HD freeview as far as I know as it requires DVB-T2 standard (which is used in the UK at least), not the DVB-T which this one uses."

Wrong, the PlayTV team spent a lot of time with BBC, ITV, CH4, CH5 and DTV Services Ltd (the people who run freeview in the UK to get ready for HD broadcasts. Also only one multiplex is being converted to DVB-T2 standard in 2009, HD broadcasts will still be shown on the original DVB-T standard multiplexes. I personally received BBC HD broadcasts from the crystal palace transmitter during the tests on a non DVB-T2 receiver.
this guy is spamming this everywhere, don't click it it has nothing to do with GoW3
first at what? Not being able to count 4 people in a video?
its only built by HTC, Sony designed and spec'd this phone...
why are people getting hyped over 'dog tags' that aren't dog tags but cell phone cleaners?
I am missing something here?

"We have sold more PlayStation 3s throughout Europe than Xbox 360 even though they launched 16 months before us."

This is for total sales since each consoles launch. He is refering to the fact that the PS3 has sold over 5 million units in the EU wheres the 360 is yet to break 5 million.

So going on about "oh of course it has, the 360 has been out years before so everyone has it and thats the reason sales have slowed" is irrelevant unless you were specifically refering to David Reeves' comment about them selling more on a month to month basis since October.

The only region where the 360 does best is the USA with regards to total sales and sales per month.
the 12 step 'fix' is terrible, about 30 or so people I game with often all had loading screen issues all on the exact same day and could not get in not matter what some people tried out of this 12 step fix... the one thing that did work 100% of the time was to disable online connectivity.

Online enabled = stuck at loading screen
Online disabled = straight into the game as usual first try

I think Rockstar (or whoever is doing the online stuff for Sony, Gamespy?) seriously messed something up...
no problems here... couple of days worth of playing and not a single freeze or pause or lock up
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
