I just recently started playing, so im no diehard fan but so far im enjoying it enough to keep at it and the server i play on "caster" EU is pretty packed out no matter what time i log on.
Of course it doesn't look like reality, and in some films the 3D may be distracting but you gotta admit for CG toon flicks and the likes of sci-fi/horror 3D is a perfect medium to showcase effects and entertain, not sure how something like the godfather would go over mind..

As for easily impressed, whats not to be impressed about new and better technology in which to view movies, i suppose HD was met with a large MEH! from you as well...
i dont get the negativity of 3d among tech heads and cinephiles, so what you have to wear a pair of glasses in a cinema surrounded by other people wearing the same shit or in the privacy of your own home when you stick on a movie to watch... all the 3D stuff ive seen is pretty cool, i love the added dimension it gives to films, i love the depth in scenes and yes at the minute flicks are full of gimmicks but it also adds fantastic perspectives to scenes and makes it more immersive, id rather watch the 3D version of a flick than a 2D version any time of the day and cant wait to buy into home 3D

I think it'll be a pretty cool device, something that you can set onto a bracket in the kitchen and stream tv to when your pottering about, grab it off the bracket and take it to bed to read a book or surf the net, bring on holiday with you and connect it into your iphone for a handy portable computer or if your sitting at your desk plug it in and use it as a second monitor, the possibilities are pretty limitless and this thing is aimed at the mainstream, i.e. everyone outside of this blog cause everyone for the life of me hates apple. I for one look forward to checking out what the brainiacs at apple have come up with next, afterall they made the ipod & iphone and look how well those gadgets are doing...
As long as they don't ban brushing your teeth i'm cool
i live in Baghdad, we've had mobiles banned for ages encase we accidentally ring up an I.E.D.
meanwhile in the sane world, this shit is already banned... seriously your only getting round to this now?
God you guys are getting hyped over what looks to me to be a single player game from years ago.... oooo full voice acting... err didn't EQ2 come off with something similar many years ago (yes yes i know it wasn't every npc), as for the graphics... jesus, its like a higher rez version of starwars lego ffs, and it looks completely instanced as well, think about it... wow is 3 large continents with various zones seamlessly connected to create the feeling of immersion in a large inhabited world, this appears to be several different types of zones aka planets ala starwars... which means each zone is instanced as space travel will be required to reach it which means loading between zones... mmos are to me all about feeling like your in a world with other people and one that i can run and fly about in without zoning, one of the best things about wow is the fact that you can run between zones an interact or at least come across other people doing there own thing making the world feel alive.

As for the wow-killler proclaimers... grow the fuck up will you... you don't dethrone a Juggernaut like wow with another mmo from anyone other than Blizz... i remember the lead up to the releases of all other wow killers... Vanguard, AOC & WAR... and look where they all went, granted this has the backing of one of the largest i.p's in the business with a huge fanbase and i think every mmo player is ready for the next big thing especially something none orc related, but you all seem to forget, this game is miles away from seeing release and Blizzard have something very very big up their sleeve, something that will ultimately steal the thunder from this and any other game coming out... oh and lets not forget about its 11mil+ fanbase...

I predict this will be another 500k sub game... granted i will be one of them (i'm a massive starwars fan afterwall), based on the info so far this game is in my "meh" folder until more information is forthcoming, its co-op Kotor with a bloody subscription...
people actually went out and bought G1's... whoaaa, thats like going out and buying a lada to take your ugly sister out on a date...
I really don’t get tech or game fanboys, you must all be soft in the head or generally just lacking in any kind of social skills to be so for a particular company and so against another, granted if you have a financial stake in it I could sorta understand but if your allegiance comes from merely owning a particular product then in my eyes your at the top of the dick pile...

I own an iphone cause personally i think it’s the best thing since sliced bread
I own a 360 cause I love playing games on it
I own a PS3 cause it’s a shithot bluray player with some excellent games on it
And numerous other gadgets that come out from “who gives a fuck” cause at the time i think there either cool or an upgrade to something old

This jumping on a bandwagon and sticking with one particular company is not only idiotic but self defeating, if and when i get a good look at the pre and think “Holy shit that rocks” then my next phone purchase will be a pre, i owe these companies fuck all, they owe me fuck all and i purchase from whomever has the best product out at my time of purchase..

So to sum up, all you apple, MS and Sony fanboys.. wise de fuck up!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
