My wife and I would love those tickets and headphones! I think we would fly to Chicago, Boston or New York to see some baseball.
Help me escape my borked Verizon flip-phone with an new iPhone.
Jake 2.0 is currently airing on HDNet in High Definition. I have recorded a few episodes, and kinda dig it.

I *think* HDNet is a Dish Network only channel, part of their HD package. I also *think* someone told me it used to be part of Voom, which Dish purchased with Voom went belly-up. In any case, they are running Jake 2.0 and will also be running Enterprise in HD this fall. I am not affiliated with Dish in any way (except I am a customer), but HDNet has a number of other really great shows that have been cancelled. I have really enjoyed watching Boomtown for the first time in HD, which is airing on HDNet. They also have some classic shows like Hogan's Heroes. These shows were shot on film, and have been digitally remastered for HD.
FYI, FreeScale is just a Motorola spinoff company ie FreeScale = Motorola. The biggest visible chnage I could tell is that they changed all the signs on their facilities here in Austin from Motorola to FreeScale.
Service to my wife's Sprint phone is down here in Texas, and has been since 4:30 pm CST (at least - but SMS was still going through). While we live in Austin, she still has an El Paso number from our days there. Austin is pretty close to Phoenix - I mean it is a 6 hour drive but it is close as far as close is in the southwest.
I thought Dick Clark did fine. What I did not like was the fact that New Years Rockin Eve was not broadcast in HD (at least it was not in Austin). When we switched over from the dish signal to our UHF antennae, the HD channel was in SD. WTF! That stupid ball has always looked blurry, and I have never got why it is so special. I mean, they talk about why it is so special every year, but on TV it looks like a big, blinking light. This year, I figured my new 52" HD would should Time Square in full glory, and give me a better impression of the ball. No such luck!
I would love to see something like this work, but I doubt that it ever will. I buy into the idea that these would cut down on traffic dramatically if in use. By that I mean if a significant portion of the population on the road, or all of the population, were driving these. But I doubt that automaker will allow this to happen.
Uh, it would be a story either way. It they are intimate, it would be called statutory rape. What the heck does this have to do with Moore/Kutcher? If this is true, it has everything to do with some very bad judgment and/or money grubbing on the part of a 23 year old woman, and nothing to do with a couple of adults who got married.
I really applaud George Takei for coming out. However, anyone suggesting that he should have done it long ago does not read the news. There is still extreme homophobia and outright hatred of gays in American culture. In my home state of Wyoming, a young man loved by his friends and classmates was beaten to death simply because he was gay. And church groups celebrate his death each year in his home town - not church groups from Wyoming, these jerk travel in from out of state just for this purpose! I would not blame anyone for staying in the closet. On top of that, it is any individual's right to do whatever he or she may want to do in their private life, and to keep it private! I really don't like it when people try to preach about who should come out and when they should do it.
The first episode this season sucked, IMHO. I don't think, even in the amazing world of Alias, that any man would have survived the 15+ shots at close range that Vaughn took and have survived any longer than 30 seconds. And I hated all the baby talk crap between Sidney and Vaughn. It is like they were trying to artificially inflate their love before they killed him off. The whole thing felt rushed. They should have found a better way to get him out of the series, or simply done it over 2 episodes. I know, he is probably coming back. Still, I think my point is valid. The next episode was not much better. I also am having a hard time believing that CIA would have a pregnant woman in the field, at least a woman that pregnant. And does not Sydney care about her child? Having said all that, the last two episodes have been much better. I can see this show going some place this year. I am really hoping that they wrap everything up, as I don't see this show lasting into a 6th season with Garner.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
