Does having a nice external monitor influence your choice of MacBook Air (11" vs. 13")?
I think most people are buying the MBA to be a portable device - not their main computer at home. Sure it would be great to use with a Thunderbolt display as a "dock" but any other branded external monitor is going to be a little more hassle than one of Apple's nifty new displays.
At any rate, I'm not using it as my main computer, and even if I was, I would have still gone with the 13" so that I could get the i7 upgrade. Not to mention the time when I wouldn't be using it connected to a monitor, I would want the screen to be larger as a personal preference.

* Longer battery life. If its really a portable then this is super important.
* SD card slot. You dont need a dongle or whatever to dump video/pics from your digital camera on the road.
* Acces to the i7 if you think you need it. Maybe you are going to do video editing and you want as much CPU as you can get.
