Does this do the same as Sonos Bridge?
So if I buy this do I not have to purchase a Sonos Bridge?
I'm planning to have multiple speakers and don't want to waste extra buck if this do the same as a Sonos Bridge?
The ZP's are actually *better* to use than a Bridge, as a bridge - simply because the Bridge is an 802.11b unit, while the ZP's are 802.11n. So if you start with a ZP as your first Sonos device cabled to the router, your Sonos network is all-N. With a Bridge, it's all-B.
Which is why I have a ZP that's not actually hooked up to any audio gear as the first Sonos device hanging off my router.

Twittered Sonos Support and got this answer:
"Yes,you can use the Connect as the first hardwired Sonos component and it will act as an extender for the SonosNet like the Bridge"
