What Photo camera should i buy?

I have recently bought a lumix dmc-lx7 and i it's a good camera but i need to buy another a bit better then this. I am looking at compact cameras i travel quite a bit. The lumix was bought on this idea but since it's a 2012 model i want something newer with good settings for someone that does not know to much about photography. What would you recommend?

The automatic recommendation for anyone looking for a great compact camera is Sony's Cyber-shot DSC-RX100, as long as you can afford it. At over $600 (the MSRP is actually $650), the RX100 is definitely pricey, though not as outrageously expensive as the company's premium Cyber-shot DSC-RX1. This does not fulfill your requirement for a model released in 2013, as the RX100 was released in July of last year, but it's still an amazingly brilliant camera.
Even then, you might actually be disappointed. The LUMIX DMC-LX7 is already more than a fine camera - one of the best point-and-shoots out there, so by going for a slightly greater option in the RX100, you won't benefit as much as you would by upgrading to an MILC, like one from Sony's superb Alpha NEX lineup. The entry-level F3 is a great option for beginners; the gdgt Must-Have 5R is even better and has WiFi support; with the higher-end 6 model, Sony claims you'll get dSLR-like control; and the most expensive of the bunch -- the NEX-7 -- is supposed to provide the best image quality of the entire series. All of them are compact, almost Point & Shoot-size, interchangeable-lens cameras.
