Which tablet should I get, Nexus 7 or Galaxy note 10.1?
I like the nexus 7 because of the price, because of jelly bean and project butter. But I wish it was a 10" tablet and I wish it had a rear camera that could take a decent picture (architect-artist). And I wish it was sold in brick-n-mortar stores
So which should I get? I feel that I need to get something soon to take some of the pressure off my arm. its not the only thing I am doing to remedy this pain, but it is part of my solution.
But either way i have both the Nexus 7 and Note 10.1. the Nexus 7 is a great device, i love the 7inch form factor and Stock JB is great for a device this size. The nexus has become my main reading device for Amazon content, my grocery list, my 2nd screen when watching TV. its really become the throw around device. Meaning you find it on the couch between cushions on the nightstand or even in the kitchen.
The Note on the other hand you either find it on my desk or in my bag. it really has replaced my iPad for productivity. i have it synching my work mail and calendar, and it has become my main document reading device. i also use it to review Visio documents i have created. i have not found a good Visio replacement yet. i find that i tend to use in portrait as it gets more of a document on the screen. I also use it to mark up my ebooks with notes and book mark import sections of a manual. what has really made this a goto device for me is the SPen. if it wasn’t for that this device would have gone back ages ago. Yes there a few truly optimized application for the SPen but i really don’t notice as all the work apps seem to support it. its the games that don’t.
Now with all that said i am waiting for the Intel based Win 8 tablets to come out so i can run natively software like Visio on them and be able to use a stylus. i am hoping that devices released by samsung will also have the SPen as i feel they have done a great job with the device so far.
I might wait though, because Google is rumored to have a Nexus event in late-October or early-November, and they might also release a new tablet. I don't know, but just a thought.
