Anomaly 2 presents multiplayer for the first time in the series, pitting human-attacking convoys against stationary alien emplacements. The deciding factor in victory is points – the alien side must defend its generators and build harvesters to mine points away from the human side, while the humans aim to simply destroy every alien present. It's a frantic tug of war as each side desperately scans the battlefield for vulnerability in the others' ranks. As the humans, ignoring harvesters, purchasing the wrong units or failing to sell and swap out units at integral times will easily spell death. The aliens have an arguably tougher job and lack the resources to build up defenses across the entire map, so it's more about predicting where the humans will go and taking care to build harvesters at the right time.%Gallery-180155%

Before the holidays have you engorged to the point where the only game you can play is called nap, Indie Royale wanted to proposition you with a new tempting smorgasbord of indie games. The Indie Royale Stuffing Bundle groups together Dream Machine: Chapters 1-3, Puzzle Agent 2, Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Children of the Nile and Adventure Apes and the Mayan Mystery. Dream Machine uses cardboard and clay to tell the story of Victor Neff and his wife who just moved into an apartment building that just isn't quite right. (Dream Machine is a five-part series, so keep in mind you won't get the entire award-winning point-and-click adventure experience in this bundle.) Puzzle Agent 2 is the 2011 sequel to Telltale Games' and Graham Annable's original adventure/puzzle outing and Pilot Program winner. Anomaly: Warzone Earth you've probably heard of since it's on every platform ever invented, while Adventure Apes and the Mayan Mystery is a Metroidvania game with lots of exploration. Finally, Children of the Nile is a city-building sim set in ancient Egypt – the Enhanced Edition is a Steam key, while the Desura/DRM-free code included in the bundle is based on the 2004 original, Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile.

This week, a mission called "Beware of Dog" takes a shot at Zynga's clone, Dream Heights."After failing to buy your tower, a rival developer would like the following: 13,500 Tower Design (Architect Office) and 4,500 City Sim (Game Studio)." The icon for the individual awarding the mission is a little man dressed as a devil. We took a screen shot of the "Beware of Dog" mission. You can see it in full past the break.

A demo for the Mac and PC versions of Anomaly: Warzone Earth has arrived on Steam, where the game is currently available for the sale price of $8.99. Anomaly: Warzone Earth is the first game from 11 bit studios, which was formed by former CD Projekt and Metropolis Software veterans. It's a tower defense game that plays out in reverse -- you're planning the attackers' routes around preset enemies, balancing the resources of your team against the forces out to destroy you. We think it's pretty neat, but you can try the four-mission sample for yourself right here.
